February 27, 20242 yr Thank you. I have tired all possible troubleshooting solutions I found in google. The last one I have left is to try to install Studio driver. That's fine, I will soon update to a 7900X3D and 4090, so it will run a bit faster and I will activate all that again. But kudos to Asobo, on the V1 of MSFS, I would get around 5-10 fps with my settings and current configuration as opposed to 40-42 now

That's weird I've had DSR - Factors available as far back as I can remember, back to 2070 Super and think GTX Titan. I assume you're doing complete clean install of a recent driver? February 28, 20242 yr I don’t have a PC monitor. I only have a TV. I installed a driver as usually but I used a custom install option. I only installed a driver. I may need to use clean install. I remember I used to have that option but it disappeared. I was surprised too. By default it is set to 33%. I reduced it to 25% and it reduces the smearing effect a little bit. This did help the smeared glass cockpit moving numbers a bit. Thanks for sharing. February 28, 20242 yr Author I finally got around to experiment a little with DSR smoothness. At the moment I've set it to 20% and the image is a lot clearer. Thanks to @Farlis and @mmcmah for suggesting this! Here's a zoomed-in screenshot from the A300 @ 5461x2880: Edited February 28, 20242 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
February 28, 20242 yr That last image looks great. Pitty I can not try this with my 3060TI with only 8GB of VRAM. For me just using that FG hack with DX12 brings a lot of crashes and DirectIO errors due to that 8 GB Vram is simply not enough 😞 Need to buy a new GPU with at least 16GB VRAM so I can try such small hacks as you guys using here 😞 Edited February 28, 20242 yr by Jovzin
February 28, 20242 yr Author @Jovzin the trick does require extra GPU processing power and VRAM, however less so compared to legacy DSR scaling. You could have a go with the render scaling setting in MSFS like @Noel has done. Or try this: Edited February 28, 20242 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Well from my tests with FG hack and DX12 yeah those 8 gigs are not enough a lot of crashes. Had to return to DX11 without FG hack and no issues. Besides using DLSS ultra quality, there are other good reasons for updating to the latest DLSS version. Even though MSFS was featured by Nvidia when introducing DLSS3 in September 2022, the DLSS version in MSFS is outdated. Current version in MSFS is 2.4.12.0, if I'm not mistaken. The most recent Nvidia version is however 3.5.10.0. Why download the most recent version? Because newer versions of DLSS usually bring improvements in image quality, performance, or both. I've followed your guide but don't see ULTRA QUALITY option. The highest is Quality for me. Any ideas? Even with your recommended settings and QUALITY preset. I am noticing blurry text in my cockpit panels on the Fenix A320 compared to just using 3840x2160 with TAA and no DLSS. Performance looks about the same with either method.
