I am happy flying my 737 and occasionally the Fenix, pretty much all I need.  😉

Me too in large part.  Since starting A Pilot's Life and the far more demanding Self Loading Cargo I simply can't be proficient in too many planes!  Right now the 4 I use cover most all my needs.  As a former 777 user in P3D I will likely pick this up from PMDG.  I am really looking forward to MSFS 2024 more than anything else.  After the dust clears there will have a look at other addons, as needed.

I think it's strange we haven't seen one of the most popular avgeek aircraft out there, the Boeing 757.
Last one was 10-15 years ago?

I don't know anything about Bluebird and their quality level.
I do know there's speculation about a PMDG 757. That would be amazing, but knowing PMDG it could take a couple of years.

Who knows that they are even "seriously" working on this project for MSFS?

I assume they are.  But who knows.  Last official remark:

You can look on their youtube and discord.  It appears they are pretty serious about this and focusing on doing a high level 757.  Not to mention they had experience back in the day with the 757.

I hope FS2024 can reproduces exactly and externally these and all aircrafts when we are in online, and not all like generic, even copters that are represented as planes..., without the necessity of own them, and we could be spotters too in the Airfields, and like a new game, Microsoft Spotter Simulator.

If they nail the engine sounds for the Fokker F70&F100, I am sold 🙂 (of course not only :D)

My most wanted one unfortunately does not fall in the 6 month category.  Majestic Q400

I bought it for P3D and flew it regularly and IMO the main reason this bird was looked at so favorably, then, had far more to do with its performance profile relative to the rest of the flock, and P3D needed all the help it could get in that regard.  That is no longer an issue at all w/ this type of bird for MSFS/MSFS2024 and TBH in terms of complexity in fidelity it's dwarfed by so many other planes.  I never liked Majestic as a company. That they've taken this long to release a previously well-developed model as the Crash 8 was is hard to fathom.  The resident troll on their forum who went by "SNAVE", which I thought was clearly a portmanteau for, "Snotty Nave", contributed to my negative attitude for Majestic, who clearly tolerated the troll.

The great thing about the q400 is it’s more challenging to fly. I mean I love the 737 and a320. But they get boring after a while and don’t require anywhere near the workload. Not to mention you get to fly into some pretty cool small airports that just can’t happen with the bigger planes.

Another ghost developper is FS Labs.

I'm sure they are working on something for msfs (at least the concorde) as they won't stay financialy afloat very long with P3D.

But are they working on something else? How far are they in their development? It's the complete mistery.

Even if the concorde is something special, it remains a niche aircraft, something not everybody would buy. And if they also work on their usual A32X, the market is already completely flooded. It would have to be something never seen before on a A320 to see most people buy a FSL A320 when they already own the Fenix.

Our best hope is that they switched to the A330 as they would only have Aerosoft to deal with on that project.

Yes, it seems to be that 2020 has been a test-bed for developers to switch from the old FSX/P3D approaches and methods to a much more modern framework, and they have largely done this now and have some proven products out and have learned a great deal. We will be in very good shape by the time 2024 arrives later this summer or autumn, with a wide selection of aircraft, both GA and airliners, and supporting applications. In fact, I am not sure we have ever had such a catalogue of high-fidelity aircraft. As it is I and starting to find it difficult to decide what to fly -- particularly because, as with Noel, I find I can only fly a few aircraft at a time competently.

It is nice to see that as we reach 2024 many of the old-school developers have found a footing in 2020, I suspect in proportion to the degree they accepted and worked to embrace a new reality. Those who seemed more apprehensive -- FSLabs, and what was that other developer that a few months back voiced that they still thought P3D was the future..., Eaglesoft! -- may have a more uphill climb now. What I am happiest about, however, is the new talent that has arisen, Blacksquare for GA and Fenix for the Airbus among others. The rise in talent and dedication to the platform has been a real bonus and in a few more years we may find we have high-fidelity offerings of almost every aircraft.

Just a few days ago at FSWeekend FBW made it clear that they have no timeframe for the A380 and cannot guarantee a release this year.

I saw that. It was depressing but still holding out hope!

I think FSLTL gets many of the models right. AIG might have models as well. So if you want accurate models of the planes, maybe look into FSLTL and AIG.

+1!!

Would love to do ultra short shops like LOWS-LOWW, LOWI-EDDS or LOWI-LSZS or LSZA etc.
It just doesn't feel right to fly 20 minute legs in a 737 or A320. 😄
