yes, but 3rd party devs have been fixing it since at least the P.149

Didn’t know that. Haven’t dared to open a window since I got Carenado’s Mooney.

Both JFs Arrows and Warrior have the bug fixed which is why I'm surprised to see the problem back with the Tomahawk

Eh I've got enough SAPs (slow word not allowed pistons LOL) - it looks marvelous but I'm ready for something a bit faster 🙂

Ah well. Fair enough then. It is a bit of a tortoise.

You could probably include A2A's Comanche in that category, but I know what you mean.

Surely not everybody was kung fu fighting.

Lately I have been flying the SWS Pilatus, almost 300 knots, and it flies great.

Just Flight also has this on sale for anyone like me who didn't own it before:

Still on the fence about buying though.  I like low and slow GA, but I don't know how much use I'll really get out of this.  I like to look at scenery, but I like it to go by a little faster than this plane can manage.

It's very slow and would normally be a little too slow for me as well, but the sensation of flight is pretty amazing with this one I think. It just feels lovely to fly.

Update looks really nice!  I've heard its an excellent hand flyer!

I may purchase this sometime in the future, I like full featured GA training aircraft but my money  is saved for the Starship next week and that is going to take a while to learn.  Also my current simulator flight mode is point to point, $100 hamburger flights.  I load up the simulator where I last parked my aircraft, find another restaurant/diner within 200 - 300 miles then fly there.   The Tomahawk for me would be just to slow for this type of trips.

Many years ago (when I was a lad) a mate and I took one of these for an overnight trip touring  the southwestern tip of Australia.

We went from Perth to Augusta to Albany on day one then Albany back to Perth the next day, probably a 600nm round trip. The little tomahawk did ok, alright if the PA28 had been available we’d have taken that for sure, but the tomahawk held its own.

It was a good trip, i remember  downwind on the way into Albany one of the tanks ran dry and the engine stopped 😯 I won’t say who’s fault that was…but I wasn’t flying that leg!
My mate didn’t panic and went robotically into his memorised engine failure drill which included flipping the big red fuel tank selector switch in the middle to the other tank, at which point the engine spluttered back into life.

How I laughed
