Kok recently posted a comment on the PMDG forum, talking about how out of line and ridiculous some of the emotional backlash has been from some of the sim community towards PMDG recently. 

He also said that he's aware that even the most vocal of these people bought the 73, and will also be buying the triple.

He's not wrong about any of this.  😁

Nope, I've learned my lesson. I don't like their customer relations and still think there's room for improvement with their products.

However, that's not to say I don't want everyone who buys the PMDG 777 to have anything other than a great experience with it.

No one has 'figured out' how to do WX radar in fs2020 like in IRL because it is not possible with the given data. Some seem to think that the weather radar in airplanes is the same as the radar on you local weather website. The theory is the same, but how it is implemented is different.

I’ve been buying PMDG products since the Fly! II days and I’m considering passing this one up. The 737 didn’t really wow me as there wasn’t any real new innovation. It just felt like a recycled plane, albeit prettier version compared to older platforms. I’ll wait to see what the features are on the 777, but if it’s just a flashier rendition of the P3D version with no new innovations, I’ll save my money for better options. Also, for Kok to say that: massive eye roll. 

Well PMDG has never disappointed me. I have moved on from P3D to MSFS 2020. I will wait patiently for the Triple 7! I am 100% sure that there is no one on this planet that wants to release this aircraft faster than the PMDG Team - Believe me!

However, if they feel it's not real - guess what? There isn't a thing on this anyone can do about that!

He's right but also wrong at the same time. Quite a portion of the vocal group let alone others who are not vocal will not purchase.

I'm considering passing and it's 50% the carrot stringing the 777 has been and the lack of  the 777F at release.......and the other half is because Mathijs is an unbearable condescending waste of 02 and the way he talked to paying customers at Aerosoft was the reason I stopped spending money on anything with the Aerosoft name on it. It was incredibly disappointing to see him ousted from Aerosoft just to be absorbed into PMDG.

I hear nice things about Fenix though, so maybe I'm an Airbus kid now.

I find this idiotic if that truly is the case. They'll just be spiting themselves. What's the point in having a sim or being part of the community then? To fly other planes, you say. Then why be so vocal in a thread about a plane they'll never buy?

Because it's feedback, which may be used to influence their future product range, customer interaction, and/or marketing.

...feedback on a product that hasn't been released yet? People saying they aren't going to buy it because its "delayed" or because they don't like a guy who worked for Aerosoft reeks of petulance, not feedback. Again, cutting off their nose to spite their face when in actual fact they'll be on here every day reading about how great the aircraft is before they buy it anyway. None of it is constructive, if that's what you're implying?

And by the way, this is not a personal dig at you, its more a dig at the overall consensus that has been regurgitated in PMDG threads since this aircraft got announced.

I don't think PMDG has a problem, they have made their $$$ on the DC-6, and the 737 series for MSFS (P.C and XBOX) the last few years already that will set them up for lifetime retirement. 777 and other products are just the icing on the cake. They in no hurry to release this 777. They are not going to starve.

Yes, of course.

Feedback on products that haven't yet been released have gone on to be have greater scope and new features added. How do you think the new LNAV model for the 777 came about?

No intention to buy the 777, but if the 747 (or whatever comes after) is better again, I could be interested.

After watching the GSX v3.0 teaser - I don't mind waiting for that integration.
