June 4, 20242 yr PMDG wants this to be as close to real as possible. So they're simulating Boeing's delays as well. Now if only Boeing would care as much about what they build and put real people in as the company that builds the plane for a simulator.

During a development stream in March, he mentioned an estimate of two months, which would put the release sometime during May. Edited June 5, 20242 yr by EGLD

This isn’t related to just PMDG, but a lot of devs don’t want to hear about, or chase issues with the SU betas because things change. My guess is they couldn’t replicate it because the staff versions don’t have the DRM check.

June 5, 20242 yr Nobody likes delay's, and i should think that PMDG, or any dev wants to get their product to market asap. The investment and cost of bringing a new aircraft to the community means they have months to years to get a return on their product. Far better they get it right, imagine the outcry if their was a game stopping issue. Hopefully it is not too long now. June 6, 20242 yr Pmdg 737 is okay, however there is still a number of annoying issues which are NEVER getting addressed: -Tiler control with joystick rotate axis is broken -IAN mode annunciator capture is All wrong (works flawless on Zibo) -LNAV often has broken curves / lines -Still no weather radar (other Devs figured it out) -No viewable copilot (unless you install add-ons) --Simple (one click) brake operation didn't work (last time I tried) -Tablet is basic still and still requires FMC for settings -Battery is hard coded to 24 volts http://youtube.com/c/Greazer
June 6, 20241 yr Is 24 volts incorrect for airliner batteries? Is it 36V? I think the Fenix battery was measured with 24V too. And I think the delay targets to bring the 777 as one of the first Flight Simulator 2024 airliner releases this summer 😉 while all other dev teams will need a few weeks to update their existing releases for the newest FS2024. A clever maneuver!
June 6, 20241 yr 38 minutes ago, Digger57 said: Wasn't this (at least traditionally) 28 V? Aircraft NiCad or Lead-Acid batteries have a static “resting” voltage of 24-25 volts. When they are being continuously top charged by the aircraft electrical system, that voltage rises to 28 volts. If an aircraft is primarily DC-powered (typical of smaller biz jets), the engine or APU generator puts out 28 volts DC. Larger aircraft that have AC 115V electrical systems with engine or APU alternators, will have one or more TRUs (transformer/rectifier units) that convert 115 volt AC to 28 volt DC for those systems that need DC power Jim BarrettLicensed Airframe & Powerplant Mechanic, Avionics, Electrical & Air Data Systems Specialist.
