So I guess they realize RSR will never remove the shoe from his mouth so they hire Mathjis to do the customer service work. It’s almost as if they said, “you think RSR is bad, we’ll show you!” But someone needs to distract the angry crowd. 😄 Only Mathjis can stand between freedom and the mob, he has become so used to the ungrateful masses he is no longer getting PTSD from being in his flight sim forum. Having had no Queen of the Skies 747, no 777, no 757, and of course no 767 for four years was just too much to bear for many.... After having seen that awesome BlueBird 767 plus getting informed that it might take three more years to develop this one, plus another delay of the PMDG 777 was the last straw that broke the camel´s back, this probably did something irreversible to the average customer brains. But maybe a few awesome 777 screenshots can soothe the mob... 😄
June 12, 20241 yr It is (mildly) interesting to speculate whether the proliferation of Airbus models is a by-product of PMDG's historical dominance of the Boeing side of things: to any would-be new developer in the flightsim market in 2020, PMDG would have looked unassailable in the Boeing field, leaving Airbus as the obvious place to focus effort. If PMDG's risible slowness had been foreseen at the launch of MSFS, I wonder if there would now be some stronger competition in the Boeing field? Does this also help to explain the periodic messaging from RSR? June 12, 20241 yr Is there a chance that the T7 will just drop at a moments notice, in other words, you go to sleep tonight and when you wake up in the morning it has been released and Avsim has exploded in disbelief? one can hope because I don't get this 2 week notice line that has been trotted out nor do I believe it. RSR has claimed several times they are not going to suddenly drop it and will give a two weeks notice. I personally feel that's word not allowed, but it is what it is. Somewhat sarcastic so I went to reply saying well yes actually I still don't own the 737 and 738 so I will be buying those soon for sure. I innocently joined a thread calling for the long superior (imo) pmdg mouse method of using left and right clicks for up and down results on switches. I've used this method for 10 years on all their FSX planes and happily moved xml files over with my 737 600/900/900ER birds in MSFS. Then SU15 happened and wiped them so I happily moved the files again and am loving that 736 especially. My rapidly deteriorating old eyes cannot see tiny arrows on screen, so some ac I cant use well. Just Flight F28 love it! Gave up on some of the buttons though as I just can NOT click the right direction. A right click one way and left the other would be great. Well back to the point. After making my polite point and request I saw 3 others had said yes us too please and our 'buddy' had replied to me. I just can't deal with that level of 'customer service'. I am also VERY glad I found that thread because if I'd paid for the 777 and seen those tiny up and down arrows everywhere I would have been gutted. Really is a deal breaker for me. The word was that it MAY be possible to fix this after purchase but if it's unofficial and 'warranty breaking' I'm steering clear. For me PMDG is going from 'uncompromisingly the best' to 'unrepentantly the most compliant'. Just curious, other than the scroll speed capability, the mouse wheel isn't a good alternative for you? I guess he locked it because he stated that he would ask to see if that can be added as an option and, at that point, there isn't much to add.

I have such issues clicking the radio minimums toggle as it is! So many knobs and clicks in such a small place. PMDG redefined cockpit interaction in many ways, the mouse behavior just one of them. It's 50% that I won't be able to use it that's put me off...and 50% they REFUSE to let me use it that kills the deal. If it was IMPOSSIBLE to implement that would be different. The thread being closed was almost certainly IMO to prevent 20 more people disagreeing with 'internal policy'. Dissent is not allowed. Russell Gough SE London

You often see runners, rugby and football stars all pump their fists in the air just prior to their 'inventible' win , try or score, just to hype the crowd up in the final stages. It's all part of the game. But, it can go awfully wrong when the runner gets overtaken by someone screaming up behind them, or the the ball is dropped or goal is missed. It leaves the crowd very flat and disappointed at the player who dared to egg them on and then didnt follow trhough with their part. I think that's where we are with the T7 now. We know it will arrive eventually and it will be a good product but the hoopla has vanished in weeks of waiting. Quite simply time has stolen the march! As if to further poor boiling water on any release soon, PMDG have closed down another thread with Mathias stating: "rambling on about the release date, ....... simply makes no sense. We will not share the release date that has been picked until we want to. These discussions always seem to end up with people getting upset and annoyed." Topic Closed. The upset parties were mostly upset about the 2 week announcement before release insinuating that this advance notice was so that the T7 would be ready for release in the market place and PC at the same time. Not so it seems. Mathias himself has said any release on the Market Place will be weeks after release to PC and others have commented that the two week notice gives streamers and twitchers a chance to review the aircraft, in the wild as it were. Many of us remember the shock of one streamer turning the aircraft on its back on touchdown during the 2 week release period for the B737. PMDG fixed that before release so there is certainly some method in their madness, while also 're- building the hype' ! "Seelonce" is an approximation rendition of the French word silence. It indicates your vessel has an emergency and that you are requiring radio silence from all other stations not assisting you. In PMDG it is called 'Topic Closed". PMDG have clearly gone radio silent and given their reputation for 'over communicating' this could be serious. Well at least in the sense that we certainly won't be seeing a B777 release to PC in this month either. Cheers Terry No. No, Mav, this is not a good idea.
