A miracle ? LSFG (Lossless Scaling Frame Generation)

Featured Replies

I run MSFS in a window so that I can have another app open on the same monitor without them overlapping. Turning on Lossless Scaling makes MSFS take over the full real estate of the monitor, centering the MSFS display and filling the edges outside of the MSFS window with black bars. If anyone knows how to stop this behavior, please let me know. From googling around, it seems Lossless Scaling will take over the whole monitor as part of its design, but I'm be pleased to hear that I'm mistaken.

    I just upgraded my 3080ti to a 40 series for $6.99 lol.

  • Ok @David Roch I really thought this was going to be the latest "double your FPS" scam out there but I am literally in disbelief.  Thank you for bringing this to my attention.  I decided to give it

  • A little offtopic here but this software works wonders in xplane 12 too. From 40fps to 100fps with all settings maxed out at 4k. It's pure magic. I am speechless honestly.

lbut TLDR, it doesn't work with G-Sync/VRR.

Is this true? Then this tool is off my list...

There is a specific toggle in the UI for VRR support...  So it looks like it's supported.

TAA On + FG Off + Dx11.

It doubled my FPS without the problems caused by FG. I need to do a flight but the first impression is very positive...

At what resolution?  I run at 4K.  I have the same processor as you.

3440x1440, but I use +120 render scaling as well.

which problems causes FG?

I read in the discord of the app that it doesn't work with Nvidia G-Sync sadly. Works with Intel en AMD freesync.

Does it play well with AutoFPS? For me it´s the only way to achieve good (30-40) FPS as a basis to apply FG or ML or whatever magic spell I am using.

What is the TLOD settings at.  I have practically the same system as you and I can't get 100 FPS, the most is at 55-60FPS and I'm on 2K 1440P monitor with G-Sync compatible @164 refresh rate.  Oh, TLOD @ 150 and no render scale for me.

It seems to be OK with AutoFPS unless you follow the video's suggestion to max your frame rate to 1/2 the refresh rate of your monitor.

Well, what now? Others say you can turn VRR support on in the GUI. So it works with VRR but no G-Sync? Bummer...

I use T-Lod 300, if you only get 55-60 fps something is wrong with your system or that's your native fps, what do you use to see your fps?

I use the ingame fps tool.  Yea, I think something is not right.  300 is a a big number that you use  Wow.  I have no problems with other games it's just MSFS2020 that I have a problem with.  I will need to do more research I guess.
