A miracle ? LSFG (Lossless Scaling Frame Generation)

Featured Replies

I just tried it out at FlyTampa KBOS in the Fenix A320 with FSLTL (20 parked, and 90 active aircraft) and it was nothing short of incredible.

I'm getting 100-120fps with DLSS Super Resolution (rendering 5160x2160 on  1440p widescreen monitor) and FG on. KBOS is always taxing on my system, even with a 7800X3D and 4090, but this was buttery smooth.

There are some small artefacts here and there (mostly with excessively fast panning of my head using TrackIR, or when switching internal views from cockpit to cabin), and I do notice a very small increase in latency, but overall I'm very impressed so far. I only taxied and taken off, but I'm getting less artefact ghosting of other aircraft than I usually do.

    I just upgraded my 3080ti to a 40 series for $6.99 lol.

  • Ok @David Roch I really thought this was going to be the latest "double your FPS" scam out there but I am literally in disbelief.  Thank you for bringing this to my attention.  I decided to give it

  • A little offtopic here but this software works wonders in xplane 12 too. From 40fps to 100fps with all settings maxed out at 4k. It's pure magic. I am speechless honestly.

Yeah and also why use DLSS with a 4090 when TAA is so much better. For DLSS just get a 4070 or something and save a ton of money and power.

So much better? Not on this monitor.
TAA: better frames but blurrier:

DLSS: less frames but sharper image:

For those with a 4090 already that are saying why would we want to use this with one, what settings are you using?  Since SU15, I can't get a smooth experience at all with my 4090.  So, I'm thinking I may give this a try.  But, I'd be happy not to if I could just find the settings to get it running smooth without it.

Same here since SU15.
Almost unplayable before I found this "magic" tool.

Yeah mini LED will have some issues because of how it works. TAA is definitely a better anti aliasing method, but i would have no idea how it looks on a mini LED monitor.

I personally dislike those, but that's my opinion and that to each his own.

Does this work with TAA?

Settings in the sim do not matter.  You can configure the sim however you want.

Yes, it appears to work with any mode. I got some weird behaviour / instability the second time I set it to TAA - the whole sim crashed and I had to reboot. I'm sticking with DLSS though, as I've found it a good compromise for me personally in terms of performance vs. image quality (I lean in to the displays when they start ghosting too much).

I just tried it again, this time at La Guardia with FSLTL traffic and the same settings as mentioned above. I was getting a smooth and consistent 95fps with 3x and 60-70fps with 2x (giving me fewer artefacts).

I'll try a real flight with this later in the week, but looks very promising so far.

I use FG, Ultra, TAA, Auto FPS, I get steady 100 fps everywhere in all conditions, smooth as butter.

At what resolution?  I run at 4K.  I have the same processor as you.

does it work for VR?

In a word; No.

Pico Neo3 Link VR - Windows 11 64bit, Gigabyte Z590 Aorus Elite Mobo, i7-10700KF CPU, Gigabyte RX 9070 XT OC 16gb (AMD GPU), 32gig Corsair 3600mhz RAM, SSD x2 + M.2 SSD 1tb x1

Saitek X45 HOTAS - Saitek Pro Rudder Pedals - Logitech Flight Yoke - Homemade 3 Button & 8-directional Joystick Box, SNES Controller (used as a Button Box - Additional USB Numpad (used as a Button Box)

Has anyone made it work with AutoFPS?

I have a 60hz Monitor and set the Frames in NCP to 30 to get smooth 60 fps with LSFG. I I enter 30 or even 25 fps in AutoFPS, the Tool will always show the FPS in red and start to reduce TLOD/OLOD/Clouds.

I have a 60hz monitor and use FG, I already achieve 60 fps so I don't see the use for me.

For those with higher FPS monitors, why not give it a go.

If you already have access to FG, this is pointless. It's a worse method with higher system latency.

We see so many miracle recipes for doubling FPS that no one trusts or pay attention to them.
I use a large 55-inch 4K screen with an RTX 4090 and I thought I would never be able to increase the smoothness to this extent while doubling the fps.

4/ Works in "full" screen.

Can you clarify this as full screen support is critical to me and the Steam page says:  Also, secondary to that do I have to run steam every time I run the sim for lossless to work?  I ask because I don't have Steam on my sim machine

  • The game must be running in windowed mode
