    I just upgraded my 3080ti to a 40 series for $6.99 lol.

  • Ok @David Roch I really thought this was going to be the latest "double your FPS" scam out there but I am literally in disbelief.  Thank you for bringing this to my attention.  I decided to give it

  • A little offtopic here but this software works wonders in xplane 12 too. From 40fps to 100fps with all settings maxed out at 4k. It's pure magic. I am speechless honestly.

A follow up vid :

One question I have :

He explains that it captures what is on the screen and than doubles or triples that frame through interpolation.

So if I use FG on in MSFS what I see on the screen is already doubled.

Does that mean that this program doubles or triples what already has been doubled by using FG ?

£5.82 when purchased in the UK

Yeah, that's $3.47 USD. In the video he said it costs $7.

5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB  PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

I just paid $6.99 on Steam.  Initial impressions are very good.

Well I'm pretty confused by this mod, running a 3080 on a gaming laptop which normally gives reasonable performance.

Frames are undoubtedly up using this mod, but it is a stuttery mess.  Do I have to disable any frame generation I was previously using?  Also, I've now got the in game menu setting refresh rates, and the mod setting refresh rates. So what is the score there?  Do they over ride each other?  I had an ideal set up and now I've gone down the wormhole of tweaking everything and not having a clue which way is up or down, but the stutters are real.  Maybe this mod is not for everyone.

With my 3090 running a 4K monitor 30/60 mode X2 in the mod, I'm seeing about 10 to 15 degree increase in GPU temps with this mod as well as a 20 to 30 percent increase in GPU usage, sometimes hitting close to 100% flying around JFK with mostly ultra settings.  This is both in DX11 & DX12 mode with TAA and DLSS. Whereas with the FG mod my GPU is less taxed and able to maintain a constant 40 FPS.  Will keep playing with it.

Yes it's better, it does not cause any artifacts on windows such as the VFR map, ATC, etc.

You still have some artifacts when panning quickly, generated in areas with very different color (black poles, white clouds over blue sky, for example) but I would say that it's undoubtedly better than the DLSS to FSR3 FG mod.

The RTX 3000 series has no access to "native" FG. You can compare it to the DLSS to FSR3 FG which made overlays, subtitles and windows unusable and was not better than this for other aspects.

With LS 2.90 I have small artifacts but not stutters, probably it also depends on settings and how able is your CPU to maintain a stable framerate.

I recommend the following:

  • Monitor refresh rate at 60 Hz
  • MSFS framerate locked at 30 in NVCP
  • LSFG 2.1 - X2 mode
  • Scaling off

Yes but in the video he said some people have monitors with refresh rate above his monitor which only does 60. Such as 120, 165 etc.

He said to try as an experiment:

Set monitor refresh rate at exactly 120 in Windows display properties.

MSFS framerate locked at 40 in NVCP (1/3)

set LSFG 2.1 to X3 mode.

Scaling off

Which may not work well, but as an experiment. He didn't try because he can't set his monitor to 120.

The new 2.5.11 LSFG (June 6) now costs $6.99 on Steam.

I believe latest version is v2.9.

Yes it shows 2.9 in the app window. The sales page on Steam said 2.5.11. Anyway, the price on Steam went back up to $6.99 (I just bought it).

Yes! For instance if someone has a 4090 and sets FG on, they double the frame rate, which is now enormous. And then this mod stacks more frame generation on top of that. In your video above, at 7:31 he says doing this type of FG stacking on a 4090 has been reported on his site that they are "being blown away" with joy at the now stupendous frame rates (instead of just enormous).

Wait this is confusing.  If you have a 4090 (I have a 4080super) with Native frame gen and your pushing 85 FPS smooth already....  Then this will give you an additional frame per normal frame? So 120 fps?  But with an 85Hz monitor I usually set V-Sync for smoothness hence 85 FPS.

Soo... uh...yeah.

I guess i'll just have to try it.

This was Funny!....🤣

Since this mod works entirely outside of MSFS, it works with anything at all being displayed in a window on your monitor in Windows 10 or 11. Like Youtube videos for instance (reports say it makes them run smoother).

But it won't work for anything at all being displayed in full screen mode, only windowed mode. This does not matter in MSFS because the "full screen" setting in MSFS is really just a lossless window mode. So it works in MSFS with either  windowed or full screen being chosen in MSFS options.

I think this app will be approved by Microsoft because it works from completely outside of MSFS and does not change any files in MSFS. And it will open up MSFS to really really slow computer cpus and gpus who could not run flight simulator before.
