Finally!

I've never been a fan of the default trees in MSFS and although disabling photogrammetry gets rid of the awful overgrown look, not to mention the weird distant shading (or lack thereof) and overall post-apocalyptic look, the regular tree sprites always were an eyesore up close. Sure, it's a little late but anything to make the sim look better and improve the immersion. Easy purchase.

It's a dangerous thing, using the price of a pint for comparison.  Pretty soon that will make everything look cheap.

 

Definitely won't buy anything before MSFS 2024 is released, see what they do. 

It probably won't cost an arm and a leg so I will buy it, should be worth a few months' enjoyment

I don't think they look any better in many of those comparison screenshots.  Different, but not particularly better

Everything OrbX is pure gold! The trees look outstanding, lovely. I wish they would also still release a bit of offline photogrammetry and scenery too.

I have to admit the trees look very good. Could be worth it for the next 4-5 months. I guess it will depend on how many biomes are available. Also whether it will feature seasons.

New grass is perking my interest. Anything is an improvement over the current vegetable patch.

Looks to me like mostly what they did is substantially darken trees, at least that is what most all of the comparison shots show and when you get close to them more detail, ala HD.  When substantial upgrades happen, that would be MSFS 2024, I always prefer stark contrast w/ the old version, so happily will avoid trying to make MSFS 2020 look like 2024 incrementally.

I agree - 2024 isn't out for 5 more months anyway.  Plenty of room for more addons in between now and then.

Bijan's work is more than just tree coloring. He added tons of not only custom trees but full foliage to certain areas.

Years later the Bijan mod still shines with it's unique touch and attention to detail. I don't need the ORBX trees at this point Bijan beat them to the punch long ago.

Well, considering Bijan up and left the addon market, leaving people in the dark and without updates for over a year and has now recently announced, officially, he's stopping for good, that addon is dead in the water. 

Too little too late. 

Maybe someone will make us pay for rain drops again.

Still wrong to post false information about a smaller dev's work. So I corrected him.

Bijan did more than just some tree coloring he added entire zones of foliage to certain areas! 

Sad some of you are just comfortably compliant in spewing lies and misinformation discouraging a smaller dev's work.

Dead, discontinued or not it's still a great mod for MSFS 2020.

The guy up and left the scene for over a year, with no information to his customers, leaving his addon in a weird state after a large update that caused a performance hit, because he didn't fix it. They then did some shady stuff of locking down his Discord, removing all criticism and notices of him not updating the addon, communicating weirdly with customers through email that the customers then passed on to the community, much to the bewilderment of everybody. 

He kept people in the dark and was being ultra shady just so people would keep buying his dead, unfixed addon. Only ONE DAY ago did he finally announce his departure from the addon scene. He doesn't deserve the red carpet treatment.
