For anyone who likes tweaking, ReShade and/or Nvidia Freestyle filters can give a similar look for free on PC.

That said, anything that gets rid of MSFS' default pee-coloured tone is worth a look.

I thought with the latest NVIDIA drivers you had to use their new app that replaced GeForce?

Also wouldn’t bother with this until we see what MS2024 brings in 2.5 months. REX is too late to the party nevermind their stuff always puts files all over your computer like tentacles and even after uninstalling you still find word not allowed in your system that didn’t get deleted.

You are correct. With NV Freestyle filters you can do the same. This might be a little easier to use.

The timing , with MSFS 2024 just around the corner, is a little bit late, unless it will work with MSFS 2024 too..

Is there a good tutorial for using NVIDIA freestyle filters out there?

Many - this guy does a good job.   For night time - lower digital vibrancy is key,  but you will fiddle with those things as you test.  It works great.  Still not able to "save" filters so I just have a cheat sheet anytime I need to re-create them.

I’m interested, but will hold off to see what 2024 brings. I’ve been simming for 20 years and one thing I’m burnt out with is tweaking settings and what not. I’m all for a program to simplify things and can spend more time just enjoying the sim, especially with limited time to even hop on.

We understand everyone's concerns about portability with FS2024, especially with its release just around the corner. We've also wrestled with the timing of the launch considering this.

However our main concern has not been portability. We can confidently say that this product will be ported to the new Sim. What makes this product unique is how it transforms the FS2020 experience in ways that haven’t been seen before, even with nVidia. Microsoft has already committed to supporting FS2020 until 2028, and we will continue to support it as long as the technology allows. We believe that releasing this product now is the right decision, with a port for FS2024 to follow shortly after its release.

Some may argue that nVidia can achieve the same results, but that simply isn’t feasible. We have yet to show the full extent of what REX Atmos is capable of. We understand if you have doubts or prefer to wait, but this product will soon be available for both FS2020 and FS2024 users.

More info to come.

The MS2024 SDK has not even been discussed with developers as far as I’m aware. Not sure how you can say this will be released for MS2024 shortly after release. That being said, your statement is factually and wholly inaccurate.

You're ridiculous. Promising compatibility with the next version of MSFS is a normal statement from developers.  Since the SDK hasn't been released, how can all the other developers commit to MSFS24?  The bias and silly amount of grief REX receives here at avsim makes me wonder why they bother participating in the community.  Between discord and reddit, and other forms of social media, they don't need this venue.  Something to think about REX...

It’s the “shortly” part. They have zero clue how long and if compatibility will be reached. His statement is purely about please buy now.

Then why bother with the teaser? That's just stupid marketing.  Seriously. It makes zero sense. First impressions or no impressions.   Pass
