Seems like people are misunderstanding what this addon does. Had to create an account to explain this a little bit. If any of you are familiar with X-Plane 12, there is an addon called VisualXP wh

It's fully compatible with Active Sky.

Probably a daft question, but it’ll work with default live weather as well? Not just presets / preset-based injections?

No in cockpit pics. Will these enhancements make designers artwork look different?

Not a daft question at all. Yes, REX Atmos seamlessly integrates with the the default live weather, all weather engines, weather presets, saved flights etc.

As an added bonus, REX Atmos allows you to create your own very detailed weather experiences if you so choose.

They shared another shot which is quite interesting.
Still want to see this with my own eyes while tweaking with it myself.

REX, please release Atmos this weekend so that I can make my sim look even better than it looks today. Thank you!

I'm sorta torn with one.

First picture looks like violent weather and in a storm. Second one looks like a rather nice mostly cloudy puffy cloud day down below. The contrast is one looks like it would be a miserable rainy day on the ground and the second one your typical summer day.

totally fair point to make, tho most clouds look like that in msfs unfortunately since a certain sim update.
i THINK these values are changeable (if they did this the way i think they will).
so see it like a input box for a value or a slider, you can slider around values to get it to a point that looks natural to you.
if that is the case, i would be quite content with it, instead of a on off switch.

This does look as if they may have been able to get rid of the "volcanic ash" effect. Seems promising, but it would be nice to see some videos too.

That’s a striking difference. The colour balance is completely changed. Which makes me wonder if we get granular control over such parameters as colour tint and temperature.

No need to be because the whole point of Atmos is to adjust the look to your preference 🙂

From what has been released so far I think the answer is yes.

Atmos does not alter the in-cockpit environment. However please note that excessively adjusting certain values may impact the virtual cockpit lighting that comes from the outside.
