I thought it is because they manipulate the MSFS code directly, so REX is not doing so? There's a pretty good chance Atmos will be banned from the forum as-well. It's pretty much memory injection.

To me it is ridiculous they ban such things, when in my opinion, these techniques can clearly make the sim better. There is no reshade or filters in these shots of mine, just changing default values by editing the memory. I think it looks so much more realistic, why they don't allow the discussion and then they can see what values look better and then use them in the some rather then the poor quality default ones. You might wanna read the terms & conditions (that no one reads!), whilst I fully agree these apps do everything to aid us, at the end of the day they are hacks into the very exe that is protected, therefore "illegal" and essentially banned. Microsoft could, if they wanted, take REX to court over such a thing especially as they will be charging for it. But they won't of course, thankfully. Ahh these photos are from changes I have made, nothing to do with REX. It would be ludicrous to take me to court for working out something that makes the game look better which the developers could then use.

I was speaking generally not directly at your own personal usage, of course we know from a previous "hack" to the atmospherics that Asobo took note and added that to the Sim which proves they're just fine them, even if they to go against the T&C's. But yeah, very interested in learning more about what this program will do.
September 4, 20241 yr (Tinfoil hat on) So, Asobo knew 2020 is capable of looking much better, but quickly realized they could use this as a major selling point for the sequel game, and even went as far as to make changes to make 2020 look worse than it used to. All to make their improvements for 2024 look much better with its "new" lighting engine powered by tech that was perfectly possible to implement into 2020s lighting engine. (Tinfoil hat off)
September 5, 20241 yr OK, I'm sold (AccuSeason user BTW). Doubt I'll be a day 0 MSFS 2024 adopter anyways (unless there's a limited time crazy good discount for 2020 owners). They weren't even considering a 2024 back then. Edited September 5, 20241 yr by Tuskin38
