Meanwhile Atmos is the perfect tool for VR users as ReShade nor Nvidia Freestyle tweaks are VR compatible.

Wow, that's a bit excessive. I'm not even sure if I'm one of those people. I did mention that I was unsure what Atmos brings to the table that is not already available with other solutions. I probably won't buy until I've read feedback here on Avsim. Somehow I trust that more than YT reviews.

On their Discord it kinda sounds like it could come out in the next day or two. The said likely this week and they are fine tuning some things and getting it out to vendors. Said they would give a heads up around 12 hours before release.

The biggest issue I see with regards to environment in MSFS is lighting.  Currently the entire sim is far to yellow of a color temperature.  Grass looks really fake most of the time, and things that are green is far too green/yellow.  The skies look too yellow most of the time.

 

Agree strongly with both your comments. As much as I enjoy MSFS I could never shake that feeling that the game looks very cartoon and the planes look like polished shiny plastic toys - specially the tubeliners. I also agree with the very yellow-y feel to the whole thing and the exaggerated greens.

ReShade has been a game changer for me and after spending time creating the filters MSFS looks great for me now.

Will be interesting to see what this payware product does that ReShade cannot.

Funny, I always thought I was alone in this opinion! I never could spend the time messing with nvidia filters so gave up on that. Hoping this program will fill that gap!

Their screenshots look great, but after the whole business with REX Weather force and Active Sky I feel like I'm done chasing after weather programs until after FS2024 comes out. I'll reassess after I've tried the default 2024 weather.

Did you give ReShade a try? Its filter system is very easy to set and you can make sets very quickly.

Wish I could see. One of the devs has very thin skin and booted me from their server after I criticized the way they were handling the update for Accuseason for those that purchased from Orbx. Apparently the facts were too much for him so he started culling the herd. REX has a lot to learn about community engagement. They should look how iniBuilds does it….with class and grace.

Do you know of a YT tutorial for getting this to work with MSFS for a noob to ReShade?

Don’t think there’s any solid info on release date. Seems to be lot of speculation in the general discussion thread.
