It does look very, very good.  Wow.

Annoyed about not quite knowing what's going on, it's not the most intuitive product ever. But it looks superb.  Bye, bye ash clouds.  Really vivid, and cool sun and lighting effects.  An early present before MSFS2024 for sure.

It is. Various aspects of AS weather (clouds, haze, humidity etc) can be changed.

I am surprised anybody would think they wouldn't have to tweak settings, in an app that advertised itself as a tool to tweak settings.

I didn't know it was advertised solely as a tool to tweak settings. I thought it improved the visuals and made them more realistic. Something like Accuseason but for lighting, shaders, and stuff.

I have no interest in endlessly tweaking things anymore.

It’s got such a weird, annoying interface.  Just a bunch of sliders.  Well how do I know what has stuck?  What has saved?  Does it have to be running in the background? The registration was irritating enough

I’ve also had a weird situation where I took off from Frankfurt in thick fog, CAVOK on the metar, and then thick fog to about 5000 feet, and then it suddenly disappeared leaving clear skies.  Default live weather.  Not sure if that had anything to do with all these sliders.

Still, I can’t deny the clouds and lighting look way better.  I just wish the software itself wasn’t as irritating.

I agree, it's confusing. I hope they improve the interface. It's not very intuitive at this stage.

Also, it seems we can't save one profile for everything. One for atmos, one for weather etc. Would also be good to auto-load a profile on startup.

Indeed , i wish for a clear, medium and overcast preset with live or AS day and night and maybe season

Do we still need GFE game filters or should we start without it? I guess some must overlap like light and colour temps etc.

And do our settings load up when we start the app?  Or do we actually have to go in and start moving sliders for each thing?

Looks promising. But at the moment it rather looks like an experimental proof of concept version to me. When they come up with a set-and-forget-preset that automatically adapts to weather and lighting conditions in the sim, I will look at this again.

For now, I rather spend my time flying.

This product is not meant for a set and forget. It is a tool to tweak the sim to your liking. However, you use some created presets by other users.

My thoughts exactly. I don't want to tweak settings. I just want to apply a preset and see how it makes my sim look. If I like it, I keep it!

@Cpt_Piett's video did not load a preset or different presets and show how easy they are to apply. Captain, please create a video where you load the default available presets so that the viewer can see how they look and how easy they are to load. Thanks.

While Atmos allows for deep customization, you don’t have to spend time fine-tuning if that's not your preference. REX Atmos users are already creating and sharing their own presets through the in-app cloud-based system so you can easily apply and see how they look. If you like one you can keep it without any further adjustments.

That being said, visual preferences can vary depending on monitors, and personal taste. What looks great on one setup might not look as good on another. That's why customization is available, but it’s by no means required. The goal is to give users the freedom to either dive into the details or simply use presets created by others to enhance their experience.

In my next video I start from scratch then save then load presets.

I don't think I've seen default available presets.
