What is ARPC?🙄

It allows you to change atmospheric coefficients.

Download ARPC here, extract the 3 files to C.\xboxgames\flightsimulator\content.

To use lupo's ARPC settings, replace the settings in the .ini file with:

RED = -0.00387

GREEN = -0.00443

BLUE = -0.00608

I don't have that folder on my c drive, do I have to manually add it?

No, put it where your main flightsim exe is. Might be a different folder depending on install location and msfs version.

What .ini file and where please?

Read this and download ARPC SU14+ file:

https://github.com/drunkwinter/MSFS2020.ARPC

My settings:

Weather -> Lupo Enhanced Realism

Atmos -> Lupo Enhanced Realism

Enviro -> Lupo Enhanced Realism

ARPC SU14+ -> RED = -0.00387 GREEN = -0.00443 BLUE = -0.00608

Monitor -> 4K -> HDR -> On

Edit: Added my settings

I have it downloaded so I just change the coefficients and then add these files to that specific folder?

Do you have MSFS Steam? Or the MS Store legacy installation?

Here's a couple of screenshots using:

  • AB MSFS weather
  • AB MSFS ARPC custom atmospheric coefficients
  • Nvidia freestyle: sharpen 30, HDR toning 10, color temp -10

I'm thinking that Atmos will still be relevant in MSFS 2024. But let's wait and see how it'll be with the improved clouds (?) and new lighting model.

This screenshot I got from @user2 over at discord (AB MSFS):

Make sure you download the SU14+ version. To get the Lupo coefficients, replace the ones in MSFS2020.ARPC with:

RED = -0.00387

GREEN = -0.00443

BLUE = -0.00608

...

I think people are using ARPC as it allows for much more fine-tuning. Until an Atmos update, which will hopefully add numbers to the sliders.

The three ARPC files: MSFS2020.ARPC.ini, MSFS2020.ARPC.asi, and dinput8.dll are placed into the same folder where your flightsimulator.exe file resides.

For Steam users, that's in <your Steam folder>\steamapps\common\MicrosoftFlightSimulator\
