There is a preset from someone named Lupo over on Discord that is very good but I did not use any of the Enviro settings. It was actually very close to what I had already set. Just some minor tweaks to only a few settings make a big difference! Eric i9-12900k, RTX 5070ti OC, 32GB ddr5 5600 RAM, 2TB 980 Pro SSD, Titan 240RX AIO, Samsung CRG90 49", Win 11
October 5, 20241 yr I couldn't agree more with the populous that the UI seems rushed, and nearly every slider needs it's values to be tweaked to allow for more fine tuning. Also, don't know if it's just me, but adjusting the Visual Cloud Enhancement setting seems to do nothing until there's a drastic jump in quality once you reach a specific point on the slider, only allowing for about 5 different looks instead of being able to finely tune cloud shading. And there are some settings which are just plain useless to be able to use for 24/7/365 flying, but look great in specific weather scenarios (looking at you ambient lighting). I really do appreciate this product and I don't regret my purchase one bit. Other than the much needed cloud adjustments, I really like the humidity slider which allows for a hazy horizon, adding much needed depth to the world. I shared my presets which can be found by searching "PC3" or "Eighty8Mike" which contain Weather, Atmosphere, and Environmental settings. Here's a few screenshots of what I've been able to achieve with Atmos:

Any issues were due to internal code on our end, and they’ve already been resolved and being tested. Jumping to conclusions about MSFS updates breaking our product is misleading. Comparing REX Atmos to old P3D shader mods is pointless. Thanks for clarifying or at least try to explain. I still don't like the way your products work (or not work after the simulators got updated ) Edited October 5, 20241 yr by mpo910 Regards, Marcus P.

October 5, 20241 yr Not using ReShade or Nvidia filters. Atmos does it all with zero noticeable performance impact on my end.

It's is risky to use methods which MSFS do not allow AND then release this product as well let customers pay for it. If (attention, I wrote IF) REX decided to use memory intervention to modify the visuals of MSFS, then it IS a method which I don't like for so many functionality wich a product like ATMOS offers. This WOULD be e red line crossed in my opinion. At least I can't recognize you are using a standard or sdk for let Atmos communicate with MSFS. This unclear way of work does lead to my opinion already. I do not accuse REX, but I can't convince myself from something else, and you can't convince me neither. So for me nothing is cleared up. But it's ok you mentioned that I made false or incorrect assumptions. Yes, I probably did before. Now I made myself clear as well. Regards, Marcus P.

FWIW : using REX Atmos in bots my pc’s and MSFS is working like s charm. Beside REX Atmos I also use Lossless Scaling and AutoFPS. Everything working together very nicely. How these apps interact with MSFS does not interess me. If they work and add to the realism, performance or immersion then it is good enough. Come on Markus. October 5, 20241 yr I just need to learn to use atmos better. I can't seem to find a way to get mine to look anything like the screenshots and the 5 presets give me mixed results. I'm not doubting it's possible. October 5, 20241 yr I forgot to mention that nvidia filters swallows around 25% of my fps (every extra setting costs about 1 fps extra. Rex Atmos has zero impact. I'm struggling to have good performance on my triple screen setup so this is a very welcome piece of software for me. Experienced may differ but I'm pretty amused by this. I will probably buy ms2024 this year but I'm not in a hurry do ditch my current sim.

A lot of people over at the REX discord are using Lupo’s presets. You might want to give that a shot. Edited October 5, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
October 5, 20241 yr Is the Atmos self updating? What about night? Any good presets? Thanks Michael Moe Edited October 5, 20241 yr by Michael Moe Michael Moe
October 5, 20241 yr I'm wondering if there are any night presets that can get rid of the blobby sepia distant lighting from faraway cities. I guess not without ruining the close up stuff?

October 5, 20241 yr where are the presets stored locally in the numeric form so they can be fine tuned since it is impossible fine tune using the GUI also being able to make adjustments to other peoples presets and then save them for personal use or to share (?) mike Sim,PC, monitor, prescription glasses, chair.
