  • A lot of articles and videos to chew on and these are just the first batch based on this day event, hopefully just the start of more info and details to come, especially on the MS/Asobo livestreams an

  • I am not sure what I am thinking about the FS24. It is a FLIGHT Simulator, we need realistic weather, realistic clouds etc. not elephants on the ground. Sorry

My goodness am I the only one who thought the performance looked abysmal in that video?  So 3 737 Max's?   PMDG, i-Fly and Asobo default?

That looked like an absolute stutterfest from my perspective.

It is the first stable build of the sim.

Thats my only hesitation.. the performance. A few videos stated that they have massively improved the multithreading aspect of the sim but i want to know if the sim gets a perf benefit by throwing more cores at it for a tangible avg framerate/1%lows increase or the current regime of 7800X3D remains the standard. Not to mention the other side of the coin in terms of GPU horsepower required to render the scene maxed out.

Seems like ground physics have been completely overhauled, both in terms of resolution and how it interacts with the aircraft. Bush flying will be awesome in the new sim!

@Cpt_Piett, you are a real life pilot, right? Can you watch the 10 seconds in this video of the Cessna 172 ground handling at the 11:38 mark in the video:

Does this look like much more accurate and better ground handling in MSFS 2024?  Other real life pilots are also welcome to comment on the ground handling at the 11:38 mark in the video.

I will definitely buy the Aviator edition once the smoke settles.

Always amazed that people spending thousands of dollars for computer hardware to fly a sim then really think about saving some 60 bucks by buying a standard edition only instead of the full blown stuff 😉

I think in his case he has a home cockpit only stimulating the 737 or something.  So he uses the base sim as his world.

But yeah I've spent too much on the sim since 2020.  I'll probably go Aviator anyway 😂

It’s for the YouTube clicks. The content of the video itself is very good

Now it will be limited by their server speed. I literally just ran into this on 2020 where it was lagging up a storm because their servers took a dump.

no deal, these moronic "content creators" are insufferable, and always get first dibs in our modern two tier gaming world
