September 26, 20241 yr code 00 is normally mem related , problem with memcontroller you seems unlucky with cpu lottery http://
September 26, 20241 yr I replaced my 7800X3D and 64GB of Gskill RAM 4 times because the RAM kept failing. It would run fine until playing MSFS with Pimax Crystal. I finally got a single stick of 32GB to work and haven’t touched it since.

September 26, 20241 yr I was thinking of getting another 32 GB DDR5, then read about potential issues with 4 sticks. I have just seen the developer stream where Sebastian Wloch said that more than 32 GB was only necessary if you are running other apps simultaneously, like recording. I'll probably just hang on now and see how much it actually uses.
September 26, 20241 yr Hard to believe 32GB of RAM will be insufficient to run this thing maxed out... unless you run other programs congruently SAR Pilot. Flight Sim'ing since the beginning.

September 26, 20241 yr I really thought i had overspec’d my current pc but wait a little while and all of a sudden all that extra hp is needed. Give it a year and my build will be just decent. That’s life of a pc gamer. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 96GB DDR5 | 4K G-Sync | Win11 Pro

September 26, 20241 yr His comment is also made from internal usage of MSFS 2024 with only their own assets that are also optimized for consoles. So if that is already starting to push 32GB to a point where you can't do much multi-tasking on the side, imagine once all the third party addons get thrown into the mix, with even heavier systems, more functionality, 4K and 8K textures and people running a lot of additional addons on top, then it doesn't sound too far fetched that the sim itself will be able to break past that 32GB barrier. Just in general with the X3Ds, once you move past 6000MT/s, you might actually see a drop-off in performance as 6000 in a 1:1 setup is probably the absolute sweet spot of the X3Ds. You are much better off getting optimized timings at 6000MT/s, with FCLK at 2000 / UCLK 3000. Thanks, I didn't know this 🙂 I'll check my BIOS settings. EDIT: It doesn't look like it's 1:1 at the moment... Edited September 26, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

Yes, it's best to have exactly 2 sticks. 1 stick is slower. 4 sticks can cause problems. cpu can be addressing memory in 2 different ways at the same time, if you have 2 sticks. It turned out that it wasn't compatible with my AM5 upgrade. So I needed to shell out for another set of 32GB DDR5. Which makes me reluctant to throw more money at RAM unless absolutely necessary. I'd rather have a holiday in Hawaii... Which btw is probably not that comparable to the price of 2x32 DDR5. In terms of the curve optimizer, I've got -25 on CCD0 (the "cache" cores) but I had to disable the -10 CO on CCD1 ("frequency" cores) as I got instability (BSOD) issues when doing video editing. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
