They just announced it on their Youtube stream. Have a nice Halloween and enjoy the nice treat from FBW on October 31st.

Amazing! Looking forward to it. Now, let's hope that double (or tripple) gates will be a thing on MSFS (or MSFS 2024) at some point. 🙂

Best regards,

Looking forward to this but technically being "alpha" makes me wonder how long before users complain "this doesn't work", "this is wrong"?

Well…it’s free, so their words don’t really mean much. Plus there are like 3-4 A380 typed pilots on their dev team and internal test team, so there will probably be quite a few “skill issue” complaints.

Just hoping there are dependable tutorials for it, I've never been an Airbus flyer, so am keen to dedicate some time to learning how to handle this big girl.

The basics are the same across the Airbus fleet so you could probably watch some A330 videos initially to get a feel for the systems logic. The CDU is the only thing drastically different.

Supposed to come with an extensive intro guide as well - so the documentation will be there for those who choose to read it.

Reminds me to leave their Discord for now… I’m not prepared for the legion of people complaining that they didn’t even read the readme. Worse to a nearly infinite degree on the FBW Discord than anywhere else, because the barrier to entry is $0.00.

Four years in the making and it is free! This may be a record of sorts …. Combining hours of development, quality of product and devotion to the sim community …. and it costs zero!

I think I will fly into OMDB on Vatsim because I like pain and suffering.

Clearing my calendar! So pumped.

So hyped for the release of this. I’m about to order engines 3&4 for my TCA quadrant so I can be totally ready for take off!

Massive thanks and gratitude to all the devs and FBW team who have been able to make this happen.  It’s been a long time coming.  Yes, it’s an alpha release but the fact it’s VATSIM ready is very reassuring.

As a side note, does anyone know where I can start reading up on the A380 and its procedures in advance of release?
