November 19, 20241 yr Never seen before an epic fail at day 1 like this. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

Not sure I've seen an entire day go by on a product release before without any success or even an identification of what the problem is. I tell you it will only get better when Europe and the Americas reach such a late night time that people need to go to sleep. Too bad that this is another 10 hours from now. 😉

Can someone please check if you can launch the "old" sim? I installed really fast and tried to run FS24 but it stucks with a warning about too much people doing the same, so I will try again later. I have no problem instead running FS2020

November 19, 20241 yr After waiting a few hours for installation, I managed to get into the sim and play for about an hour. I did a few short flights around the globe, including my home area. I flew the Cessna G1000 and Cirrus SR22T. From an early point of view, the flight modeling, visuals, weather, and other aspects I could test are a big leap forward from MSFS 2020. I know that there are currently major issues with servers, and there are a few bugs. For example, I tried to fly the Cessna 172 G1000 cargo variant, and for some reason, the plane's location on the map display was missing. The control mapping can be difficult at first, but with some patience, you can create general and individual control settings. Satellite imagery looks much better, in my opinion, and areas with poor satellite coverage appear improved, especially with new ground detail and biome variety. I also really liked the lighting and visibility. There’s actual haze, and not just in areas with METAR coverage. The seasons looked nice in my home area, quite realistic. I didn’t test much, but I will be patient and hope the server issues are resolved soon so we can all enjoy the new sim. I tried launching the sim again but was prompted with a login queue message, so I’ll try again in the coming days. I think Microsoft and Asobo don’t deserve all the harsh criticism for the current situation. Like you, I paid for this sim, and it’s normal to have high expectations (I bought the Premium Deluxe version). The best approach now is to be understanding and patient, because MSFS 2024 has great potential, and they are aware of the issues. I hope we’ll soon be able to enjoy the new sim as it should be.
November 19, 20241 yr They should honestly bring the servers down and fix what is happening, then bring them back up.

Did you get just the standard version working, or the deluxe or premium, because that requires backing out of the sim first, then going back to the store and installing those. I got the first phase done and was able to tool around for a bit, but as soon as I realized that the premium deluxe content wasn't loaded, I exited the sim and started the install process again from the store and got all the way to the 97% (where I have been for the last 6 hours.) November 19, 20241 yr I'm back to the main menu, and a lot of people in the twitch stream I am watching are also getting back in... loading was much quicker than this morning after getting past the queue. Looks like things may be settling down.
November 19, 20241 yr Someone who entered the queue after me, got in before me. How does this queue work lmao

I went directly with premium deluxe version in xbox app. At first start when reached to phase “Loading language” was stuck for me at 0%. After a force exit and restart I just let the install to work and after a hour i could get in menu. Actually I had all planes from premium deluxe available. If you are stuck with 97% the best thing is to exit and start over again unfortunately…
November 20, 20241 yr I'm not able to install. Are people using the XBox app? If so, how? I've paid for, and gotten a license for, the Premium-Deluxe version. But the e-mail I got says to redeemer it and gives instructions, but the things it says to do don't exist, they are probably from an older version of the XBox app. My old account was became inaccessable so I had to create a whole But I have been using flightsim for a quarter of a century, despite the counter which says I'm a new user...
November 20, 20241 yr Dunno why everyone went with this. It’s just software as a service, you don’t even own it you just buy access. At least 2020 had a rather rubbish offline mode.
