November 20, 20241 yr Moderator Honestly, at this point I would be happy if I could just boot up, setup my control devices, views/cameras, options etc. But sadly, we can't even do that after 12 hours. November 20, 20241 yr Personally I am disappointed but not surprised by the launch fiasco. It is the usual Microsobo shabbiness we have been experiencing for many years. Not even the app name they managed to get right. Hopefully, this will be compensated by a great simming experience once things will be working properly, as it has been with FS 2020. November 20, 20241 yr Having got in, maybe because it's late in Europe, the Asobo G.A. planes handle so much better. I don't have to keep adjusting the throttle and trim all the time when landing. And yet the plane feels way more alive, not on rails. A nice 3 hours of wonderfulness. When I go to "Library" (it used to be called content manager) everything from the Aviators pack is there. (I used the keys to save $50). 5800X3D, RTX4070, 600 Watt, one or two 1440p 32" screens, 64 GB RAM, 4 TB PCle 3 NVMe, Warthog throttle, VKB NXT EVO stick, Honeycomb Alpha yoke, CH quad, 3 Logitech panels, 2 StreamDecks, Desktop Aviator Trim Panel. Crystal Light VR.

November 20, 20241 yr It is better somebody tell them clearly; The servers are NOT working as intended; even if there no waiting queue the loading time is 20 minutes or more.

Having listened to Jorg I’m so disappointed that he lead with underestimating demand. Such a lame excuse. Cmon, get a grip.
November 20, 20241 yr Download and launch took about 30 mins got straight in, perfectly stable with settings on high with my mid range PC. (3060 graphics card and 48GB Ram)
November 20, 20241 yr Finely got in this evening and loaded a flight. Took about 30 minutes. However it was not flyable by any stretch of the imagination and I was getting a lot of smearing on my display and my clouds looked like ice cubes. I did not have any issue with the tech alpha and I can run FS2020 rather high without issue. My computer is no longer the latest and the greatest but its still okay. Will try again tomorrow!

November 20, 20241 yr In several articles Asobo said that MFS2020 will get new ground imagery and elevation mesh which MFS2024 will use when it is out. I'm checking many locations and so far no new imagery or mesh at all. Just another BS after a disastrous launch. Will not upgrade to 2024 until promises fulfilled.
November 20, 20241 yr When I woke up I started the installation of FS2024 (again). Went into hype mode cause it progressed nicely. Until 30min ago, since then stuck on Customize Identity 😓 CAVOK and tailwind, Erik Schlijper
