maybe they should shut down FS 2020 servers to make them available for MSFS 2024

I have uninstalled 2020 anyway

Hi,

Stuck at 97% for a long while.

Should I restart it?

What do you think?

I'm in same situation. Time for a coffee then I'll try rebooting. I'm home alone so no one will be listening to me If i shout "not so nice words". 😛

Yeah, there is a lot wrong with this release. I can't get free look to work in my Cessna. Worked fine in the tech alpha. Also, something is making my view slowly pan to the left which makes me have to reset the view every so often.

I don't the control for HAT SWITCH.  I want to be able to smoothly pan around the cockpit, and in outside view be able to pan around the plane.  Haven't figured out the command for smooth panning in and out.  If anyone can help, I would appreciate it.

Filthy comment. Glad no one reads, this should be deleted.

2024 finally installed. Controls/configuration setup very easily.  Flying around the UK to see how it loks.

Is it still scorched and burnt grass everywhere? Please say it isn't.

Aww.... you're really really wishing the worst for 2024 because you don't wanna stop using 2020. It's just comically weird now 🤣

Nope, its 60 odd quid so hardly a big purchase if it gives similar hours as 2020, i just never purchase for day one as i'm fully aware of how it goes and of course it helps that i already have the sim already pretty much in the form of 2020..... i'm not one of those who has to hate the last thing to like new thing.... what are they called again, oh yes, consumers...

I've not at any point said i want 2024 to fail as i'll most likely own it in few weeks... what i am saying is its strangely addictive watching the carnage... i don't know why, just human stuff beyond my control... part of our wiring.

Ah because the world revolves around you and since you uninstalled those of us using right now as we type should have it shut down on them?

Should the roads shut down for you to drive on so no one bothers you as well???    LOL

I think they were being sarcastic.

I guess we are wondering why? Lack of hard drive space? I don't get why anyone who uninstall it let alone shout about it. Surely you purchased mods for it? It's historical, a legend in how it shifted the flightsim space..... i'll always have it to hand.

That is fighting talk!

Anyway. I really don't know why anyone is surprised or disappointed by any of this kerfuffle.

One surprise though was seeing the pilots standing up through the aircraft roof in some screenshots. This was an issue months ago and is a bit of a biggie in terms of immersion breaking graphical glitches. I thought it might have been taken care off.

Rob (but call me Bob or Rob, I don't mind).

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
