I reinstalled W11 laat weekend in preparation for MSFS2024. After seeing what MSFS2024 will offer and how much better it will be (...) I lost my interest in MSFS2020. I always like to keep my OS clean and have no interest in reinstalling old software 😉 The mods I bought I'll eventually use again in MAFS2024. I don't miss MAFS2020 and look forward to a bright future with MSFS2024. Regardless of the (expected) false start.

who at asobo thought it is a good idea to force install this game on C. I have no words for that. C is for windows thats it. no sane person installs games on C. I have a 2TB M2 at H: but the game want to run from my 500GB c: SDD. This is pathetic

Not sure where you see that, I got to install it on my seperate SSD just fine.

I have a new theory on this. When I was first introduced to the world of the internet. Years ago. At that time we were were talking T1 and T2 etc. lines. High speed lines. An engineer explained it this way. Think of a big pipe (Faster speed) connected to smaller pipes. When the data in the big pipe gets to the smaller pipe the transfer rate slows to the speed of each smaller pipe. So you can pump out large packets of data through the big pipe till it gets to the size of each smaller pipe. Microsoft being the big pipe and us being the smaller pipes. My internet download speed is 1000Mbps. I'm still seeing the same results as many of you. This is not to be considered an excuse for Microsoft poor download execution. Just my personal thoughts.

My c drive is the smallest of all. 

I only have around 60 gig left on that. I don't believe this is not customizable.

He is actually correct. The community folder seems to be located in AppData / Roaming, regardless of where it's installed, same for the Steam version. So seems Microsoft's idea was to install all of the sim's additional content and addons on people's C: drive?
