Unable to remove co-pilot

This can be removed under the Identity Settings -- top right.  Some of these are real issues and some are people's preferences not being met. Honestly, this sounds a lot like when 2020 came out.

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

  • Well, this isn't going to take 5 minutes to fix-up is it?  I expect it could be well into next year.  I see people saying we need to be patient, and patience is a virtue.  Well, if wasting my life a

  • and yet some people couldnt wait to uninstall 2020.

  • 😄, posting goodbye threads and Youtube videos.  I saw this coming a mile away (a total cloud sim 🤨).  It might be March 2025 before I dive in (maybe next summer).

Agree with the above comment and I am experiencing most of the same issues.

However, this is a new sim and like all software we know they will continue to improve and fix these issues.

Additionally, I did a flight yesterday in NZ and was completely amazed with the detail of the world, lighting, and even basic flight in 73M8. This will be an amazing platform once things starting getting ironed out.

Thank you Asobo and MS for bringing us an amazing simulator!

The bindings in controls settings, won’t “stick” as assigned. As I continued to make assignments to buttons on my joystick, previous assignments made, depopulate from their respective slots in the control set-up. This was the case for flight surfaces, cameras etc.

Jetline Systems, Windows 10 Professional, Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Pro Ax LG 1200, Intel Core i9 10900K Ten Core, Corsair H100 240mm Liquid Cooler, 64GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR SDRAM 3200MHz, 10GB Nvidea GeForce RTX 3080 GDDR6X, 4TB M.2 NVMe SSD, 1000 watt Gold Power Supply.

All of these bugs were present in MSFS2020 and then fixed.

It's almost as if the 2024 team started developing the new sim at a point where these things were still bugs in 2020.
And then failed to notice or fix the issues.

That's quite astounding.

Hope it's not too premature to ask whether there's a regular pause function such as in the sims of yore?

Not to mention someone running around here telling us we were crazy for staying with an inferior sim...  Loving my inferior 2020 at the moment LOL

I do think it will mature relatively quickly once the launch stabilizes but for right now I'm not even bothering with the full install, just the "pre-install" the MS Store did.

Maybe the whole thing was written by AI? I mean, a few dozen humans can't produce something totally not working, or could they? I accept bugs at launch, glitches and hick-ups, but not a complete failure of bringing a game to paying customers which doesn't even load. There is a very nice sailing simulator, Sailaway III. It is sold for 14 Euros, it has one developer, but this man works day and night if anything doesn't work and he even apologizes when that happens. MS and Asobo are either really clueless, naive or it's just a marketing show to cash in quickly. Either one is bad.

This is super minor but Washington DC has so many palm trees in the game.

Hey all!!

Turn off multiplayer to see others! It helps.

I was thinking the same thing.

You can't trick a user into paying, and then tell him to be patient that the team is working to fix the problems.

It's the other way around. I'm very happy that I haven't paid anything yet. And I'm very sorry for the user deceived with fabulous teasers.

Asobo: that's not good.

Looking at all the issues makes you realise it's going to be quite some time until this sim is a plausible replacement to MSFS2020.  Realistically we could be looking well into 2025 before it ticks enough boxes for people to willingly uninstall MSFS2020.  I'm not that naive I knew the launch would be glitchy but even by most peoples' expectations this has been a spectacular failure and that's a reflection on Microsobo. They should have waited and called it MSFS2025.

Im still not in nearly 25 hours later...absolutely bloody riduclous, and reading all the posts in the the forums is beyond a joke....pathectic...absolutley PATHECTIC.....so disapointing in Microsoft.

I've spent an absurd amount of money on 2020 add ons and hearing the difficulty in porting those over to 2024 makes me think it will be at least a year before I fully switch over. 2024 will be a good VFR sim while 2020 will be the one for airliners for a bit longer.
