November 22, 20241 yr I'm in Australia. Yesterday i had a couple of decent flights. This morning after I load the sim updating wasn't to bad but couldn't fly because the loading time of textures was so bad, no cockpit textures let alone the scenery. I was trying to load in Cloncurry if any one knows were that is. Its in the middle of nowhere. Ah well. Hope they get this sorted soon as i purchased a Flitesim cls-120 yoke last night lol.

It was their unilateral choice to break their promise of indefinite updates to v2020, preferring to release an un-asked for new version for no other reason than $$$. We are a forgiving bunch: after all, it's just a game. But even so, for one of the world's largest corporations to have released something as half-baked as this is quite a serious matter potentially. I replaced Flightbeam KDEN, which was so terribly out of date, with the one from x-coder that I got on ORBX. I don't want the Flightbeam one I purchased on the marketplace to stream! KDEN is awful on the marketplace. But.. I'm forced to use it now. Enhanced Airport Graphics is another one. That thing is beyond repair and was one of those "let me collect cash while things are hot" early addons. Yet.. Here I am forced to use it. Can't you just let it sit in the Marketplace, but just not install it? That's how I do it in FS2020, I have some airport scenery in there that I don't like (but I did buy it a couple of years ago). I simply leave it uninstalled. Just because it's in the Marketplace doesn't mean its installed, it is not affecting my sim at all. (2020) I don't have 2024 yet but I'm sure they won't force-install anything you have in the Marketplace unless you select to do so. If they do, please let me know because that would be ridiculous.
