November 26, 20241 yr Not one week after release, and things are looking very promising! I just finished a flight in the Fenix A320 from Nice Côte d'Azur to Innsbruck. Everything *just worked*. Addons used: FSHud AIG models Active Sky with historical weather GSX Pro MSFS Map Enhancement with Apple Maps Pro iniBuilds Innsbruck MobiFlight Connector 10.4.0.1 beta release => can use my miniFCU unit with the Fenix I managed to override Asobo's Innsbruck using the method described here. Yeah. Very happy right now. I was sceptical before release, but now I'm sold. sky, clouds, wind and turbulence very realistic with ASFS beta build B9094 lighting model is very nice shadow size set to 6K in usercfg.opt with Ray traced shadows trees and vegetation = great ground detail = great Oh, and no connection/streaming problems since I started simming around 1700Z yesterday - flights loaded in a few seconds. By the way - I did a shared cockpit session (YourControls) with a friend last night in the Fenix A320 with FSHud - it worked. Edited November 26, 20241 yr by Cpt_Piett 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
November 26, 20241 yr Good stuff! November 26, 20241 yr Only thing i don't like is the night lighting, Cities are far too bright, i could see Madrid lit up like a beacon climbing out of Malaga lol, Then you have small villages, that are lighting up fields for at least a few miles away. It's as if they just said, let's put some lights here, and some over there. At present it needs a lot of work to bring it up to scratch. Everything *just worked*. You Cpt_Piett are probably the closest to what I use FS for. I'm not interested in walking around and career mode (I already have a career) I just want to fly the Fenix from A to B, use some AI and use my Thrustmaster hardware and TrackIR. I haven't bought it yet but the impression I get is if you just throw yourself in and expect instant miracles you'll be like most of the complainers but if you take your time with it and carefully set one thing up at a time, we'll end up like you. November 26, 20241 yr Regarding AIG models: Did you just drag & drop the AIG folder(s) into your new Community folder? I hear the AIG models have issues with things like gear being up on the ground. did you see anything like that?
November 26, 20241 yr I wasn’t thinking about this issue with respect to disabling a default airport for a payware replacement. This sounds like a real pain in the a**. I hope this gets figured out at some point, but as long as the only option for the MSFS content is via streaming, I’m not sure it can be. I understand once the Marketplace opens we will have the ability to select which products we want, whether we want them at all, whether we want them streamed, or whether we want them downloaded to our drive. They have said on their forums that this functionality was not quite ready at launch -- and maybe this is tied to the the decision not to launch the marketplace. I think it won't be too long, a week or two; they are certainly going to want that marketplace online in the leadup to the holidays. Until then I am just holding off on scenery and things. MSFS 2024. November 26, 20241 yr So you still have to use a third party weather app and a third party enhancement map and you see nothing wrong with it. So telling what people accept without complaint for giving over their money nowadays. Eric

I'm not exactly surr what you mean by "third party enhancement map," but I do have cusfom scenery installed. But then for every flight sim, the users will typically use custom scenery. i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
November 26, 20241 yr You are in command now, Admiral Piett! 😀 How, or better, where did you install LOWI? I assume it is the Premium iniBuilds version? I am toying with the idea to keep my one and only AddonLinker Master folder for both, MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 and tag MSFS2024 compatible add-ons. Then run separate .exe for AL, depending which sim I run. Question is, will add-ons that were originally made for MSFS2020 and will be "enhanced" or "premium-ised" for MSFS2024 have to be installed twice??
