hy all of this wasn't in from day 1 we will never know.

Because ACTUAL demand wasn't known on Day 1 and became evident shortly thereafter.

Do you know if they plan to be able to choose whether we want a plane to be (broadcast) streamed or not?

This is supposed to come when the market place opens…

They're fast !

It's barely a week old and one major patch was released already, with 2 more due for the next 2 weeks... great!

We are happy to report that the issues regarding access and streaming have been resolved. The distribution layer capacity has been increased to handle the immense interest in the simulator and the reliability is now above 99.999%. Our servers and services are also all performing as expected.

Me too lol. I can only get into a flight during non peak hours. When I do get in, performance can be great or terrible with the servers being the only variable as far as I can tell.

True, it would be interesting to know how many new users jumped in above those of us already MSFS2020 users.

With global time zones and historical data the team would have an idea of possible current users and the demand likely but with Gamepass and XBox how do you determine new to title customers and potential surge in demand.

I have MSFS2020 still installed but I don't think it will be for too long once PMDG aircraft become compatible.

It’s great, once they have finished patching to stop any crashes Asobo can concentrate on actual improvements.

they do stuff in the background. just realized all my MS Store purchases are not tagged Streamed anymore but Not installed. just checked EDDM and seems fine now as the Simwings version seen below had incorrect LOD/object placement, especially the taxiway bridges over the road were elevated before and could not be crossed. now all fine

I was suspicious of LOWG causing CTD for me, so I’ve disabled it for now. See how you get on with it.

Today i flew the FBW A380 (Again no stuttering or massive drop of fps)

Sorry for the thread drift, but how have you achieved this?

When I tried my 380 sank into the ground to its engines with no nose gear.

The scenery has so much depth and realism to it now - 2020 ground is looking very flat in comparison.

The rivers as well. I really like what they’ve done with the tech there, no more OSM based straight lines!

Not perhaps. For 2024 they are. Though we will get an option to still physically download at least purchases. That big harddrive purchase must have been good for something. And I still believe that my arport addons load faster and their Quality is not „bandwidth“ related once they sit neatly on my PC
