Most of the users complaining about the sound would have had zero experience of the cockpit environment in the real aircraft. They expected it to sound like the passenger cabin of a 737 or similar air

here are a couple previews of the coming immersive audio package:

What makes this plane my favourite is that I can't think of any other airliner that feels like it wants to kill you if you let it. Hand-flying approaches means throwing the yoke around like you'r

Please try the VC 16K cockpit textures and the FTSIM sound package for MSFS2020.

Where do I get the 16K textures?

Thanks!

anyone have a timeline on the BORIS soundset for this? I'm waiting on the sounds to buy. Not sure where to look for this type of update.

No. But I’d guess not too far out. It isn’t Boris. It’s immersive audio

5800X3D, 4090FE, 64GB DDR4 3600C16, Gigabyte X570S MB, EVO 970 M.2's, Alienware 3821DW  and 2  22" monitors, Corsair RM1000x PSU,  360MM MSI MEG, MFG Crosswind, T16000M Stick, Boeing TCA Yoke/Throttle, Skalarki MCDU and FCU, Logitech Radio Panel/Switch Panel, Spad.Next

The upgraded textures are indeed better, however, there remains a lot of room for improvement.  I will explore the sounds, but much prefer the manufacturer's stock installation... is there any idea of a timeline please?

Not sure about the time line.

Its not all cockpit variants that the mod is working with. Try reflections on ultra and a dawn or night setting. I think it is really good in 4K. But yes always something to improve. But way more differential and alive than a Airbus stereotype cockpit. Also the lights and colours are great.

Wonderful addon, as it features balance between manual work and automation.
I recommend watching Leonardo’s videos — they are short and methodologically accurate. The only additional thing you’ll have to learn - different descent techniques.

Unfortunately, I can't hear announcements in the cockpit and don't know how to enable them (PA on the radio panel is on, all sim sounds are set to max).
Additionally, the aux tanks on the MD-83 don't consume fuel as they should (it seems to be a sales point), and the cockpit textures are terrible.
It’s also impossible to use with a high sim rate — but that’s a general question for the simulator, why they don’t let us control time.

For me doing X4 sim rate works fine. What is your issue?

At speed 4, the stopwatch flies into space (clearly faster than 4), and the fuel consumption calculation with it. According to the computer, the fuel quickly drops to zero, but it’s still in the tanks. At the same time, the clock runs at speed 1.0, that is why the ETA decreases. In short, I’m getting nonsense with time and fuel.

You're asking an extremely complex addon, itself within an extremely complex environment to "just go faster" and expecting it to work perfectly. This is a completely ridiculous request IMO.

In FSX, equally complex addons flew without issues, and time acceleration at cruising altitude is exactly what I need the simulator for — I love simulating long flights.
Considering that MSFS2024 is all about flying here and now, I think the problem is the platform itself, not the addon.

It’s not a ridiculous request when its 2020 version could handle 8x just fine.

(well it would start to oscillate after a bit but switching to 4x briefly would stabilize it again - otherwise no issues)

This is my opinion and not a popular one. But I wish developers would delete Time acceleration and more simmers focus on doing flights in real time.

Bet you can (not) get that time back in real life.

How dare people use the sim in a way that I don’t. 🙄

Yeah there’s a good reason why it’s an unpopular opinion.
