What makes this plane my favourite is that I can't think of any other airliner that feels like it wants to kill you if you let it. Hand-flying approaches means throwing the yoke around like you'r

Free to boot, love it.  I know some complained about the initial price, but they’ve continuously updated it through FS20 and gave me the -83 and -88 for free since I had bought them in P3D.

The paid enhancement pack sounds interesting and could be the icing on the cake for this gem.

Current System (Running at 4k): ASUS ROG STRIX X670E-F, Ryzen 7800X3D, RTX 5090, 55" Samsung Q80T, 64GB DDR5 6000 RAM, EVGA CLC 280mm AIO Cooler, Brunner CLS-E NG Yoke, Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS & Stick, Thrustmaster TCA Quadrant & Add-on, VirtualFly Ruddo+, TQ6+ and Yoko+, GoFlight MCP-PRO and EFIS, Skalarki FCU and MCDU

Ooh, enhanced textures *and* enhanced sounds? That would pretty much make the Maddog perfect. Literally. I might start flying it again after that.

For transparency: I'm a community mentor at the BATC discord. However, I do not get paid for it in any way.

Is that true? I wonder what it means by enhanced (is it rebuilt from scratch?) Because What I got from Leonardo is that their sound were non existent and horrible in FS2020. I had to use "aftermarket" sounds. Everything else was great. But sounds make a LOT of immersion.

That's actually the best news. I've been missing this thing in 2024. Heard they were doing a V2 and was worried it meant compatibility won't happen for ages.

Having a compatible version now, and an update later is best of both worlds.

Free and improved!  😜

Most of the users complaining about the sound would have had zero experience of the cockpit environment in the real aircraft. They expected it to sound like the passenger cabin of a 737 or similar aircraft. Once moving, the MD 80s had very little engine noise in the cockpit, as was pointed out by those who had actually flown it. It's a feature of rear engined aircraft, especially those versions with extended fuselages. Simmers, with all their vast experience of aviation, wanted more engine noise, to make it conform to their version of realistic. So they complained.

I absolutely can’t wait. This is my most flown aircraft right now and I’ve gotten back into flying it in a huuuge way with the 16K texture mod and FTSim sounds.

This settles it for me. I’ll be moving to FS24 shortly after release date.

Cannot wait. Great news.

Best regards, Fritz ESSONO

I’d love if Leonardo tackled the 717.  It would be fantastic.

Yup, ive spent a lot of time in the front of the cabin as pax in the md88, you cannot hear the engines at all.  I would imagine the flight deck would be even quieter.

Anyone have this and the Bae146 or Avro RJ from Just Flight and care to share their thoughts? I love the older planes (DC6 would be great if it wasn't so buggy all the time).
