May 29, 20251 yr So is everyone who installs Chaseplane allowing it to remove your MSFS camera settings, or are you removing them yourself manually. If the latter all camera settings or only if conflicts occur? Greg Clark

May 30, 20251 yr Ok, I will just go with the flow and let Chaseplane handle it. I already bought Chaseplane but have not had time to install it, so not a pre-purchase question. Greg Clark

TBH I would have preferred to keep all the prior default settings (as I have them set up the same in MSFS 2024) and just add Fly-By, Tower and Physics. Agreed that is what I would have preferred. I have an elaborate custom camera setup with controller bindings that will have to be set up again in Chaseplane and the end result will not be much different. But after looking at numerous YT videos I too got sucked in by the other stuff and looking ahead I will want Chaseplane in 2024 so I pressed the purchase now button but yet to install in 2020 - still mulling over whether it will be worth the effort in 2020 or just wait for the 2024 version to drop. What was a simple Ctrl-Alt-# to capture a custom camera view takes a few more steps per view in the CP GUI, but it's pretty simple once you learn it. The only area I'm not happy with is when you hit the same button again it does not return to default Pilot view as is the case in default cameras. I mentioned in their suggestion venue so hopefully that will be added. It's good for what I'm used to as that is exactly how the default custom cameras function. You seem to be suggesting it's possible to assign for example Pilot to Button 3, Copilot to Button 4, then assigning Pilot on top of the Button 4 assignment so that when Button 4 is hit a second time it triggers the Pilot view again. Is that what you're saying? If so how is that done? The order they are cycled through depends on their position in the main view list, which can be altered by simply dragging a view up or down.

Don't want to cycle thru views I want to hit a programmed button and have that view show, hit the same button again and return to the Pilot view, for all programmed views. Very simple, but so far not sure it's possible in CP. In fact I'm fairly sure it's not possible as I mentioned the idea to Keven and he directed me to make a formal suggestion, so I did. June 1, 20251 yr Then do as I suggested. Assign another, “default “ , view to that button and it will go there the second time you hit that button. I honestly don’t see the merit of that though. I mean, if you insist on an awkward and clumsy camera system it would probably be best to stick to the native one as it gives you just that.
