January 31, 20251 yr Thanks for the effort, but it did not work for me, all relevant settings greyed out after the driver update. I assumed a corrupted install and reinstalled the new driver. The reboot after that never finished and after 30 minutes I shut the computer down. After that, it would not reboot any more. Finally, Windows offered me the option to use a restore point, now I‘m back in business. I will certainly not try again. Regards Gunter Schneider

The problem my end was the CustomSettingNames.xml - once I deleted that I saw all the options in your NvidiaInspector screenshot. Maybe deleting the CustomSettingNames.xml should be a step in your guide? January 31, 20251 yr Everything seems a bit less foggy now - I'll try this after I get home from work. Hopefully there will eventually be an easier solution for MSFS2024. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

January 31, 20251 yr Eureka! It worked for me. I've only got a 3080ti so run the hack to get Frame Generation working. When I followed the instructions above I lost the FG option in the game settings but going back into Nvidia Inspector and changing the FG Override option back to all zeros has brought it back. More importantly the DLSS Quality setting in game now produces a beautifully crisp image, way better than anything I've seen previously. January 31, 20251 yr Great Post @Ianrivaldosmith thanks! Maybe, if all things fail, why not try preset J(ay) or K Sometimes I have to admit to myself:"Si tacuisses, philosophus mansisses"
January 31, 20251 yr I finally had some time to fiddle with this. Nvidia App: all DLSS override settings for both 2020 and 2024 were greyed out I did all the steps described by Ian and TenPatrol. This is what the DLSS indicator shows: Hopefully that means that DLSS4 is working correctly. 7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5
