I tried it again and while MSFS 2020 would load to the Welcome screen it would essentially freeze up with choppy mouse pointer and no ability to click anything to get back to the Windows desktop so had to kill MSFS process via task manager.

word not allowed, I'm back to blurry terrain after installing the latest driver and setting up DLSS 4.  Anyone else?

I would not think that "world word not allowed" would come from you 🙂 I'll do a proper flight tomorrow and report back!

It was quite an innocent word, so a little taken aback it was replaced 😁

Very confused, I have installed dlss 4 and applied it into msfs via NVIDIA app override (override was enabled for me). Do I still need to override from NVIDIA inspector or I am good here?

OK, I don't know what's going on with my system. A couple of hours ago I set everything up for DLSS 4. I have the regedit change to display the DLSS preset. It looked perfect and displayed that the preset is K. I left the sim up and went to do some shopping. When I came back the display had changed to J and now no matter what I do I cannot get it to show Preset K. I changed literally nothing.

Any ideas?

 

UPDATE: My problem seems to have been that I did not have the very latest DLSS files. I had 310.1 not 310.2. Seems to be displaying the correct values now.

when I upload a flight, the screen starts flickering. I manually removed the frame gen mod files. It’s really bad.

My answer would add to go on Youtube with a PC and search for solutions. Same thing if stuck banging around inside your PC with new hardware swaps. Youtube is the best source to find out.

If blurry terrain were my only issue, I'd be ok.

Yours is the very first report of this drop I have read anywhere.  You have so many problems that all appear to be severe, so I wonder if your PC is functioning correctly.

Personally, at the stage you appear to be, I would be removing everything related to MSFS and re-installing.  It only took me about 10 minutes to do this with 2024.

I also ignored the greyed-out DLSS 4 setting in the Nvidia app and still managed to get DLSS 4 to work. However, my performance is dismal.

I feel like taking my computer and throwing it in the middle of the ocean, but that would mean letting MSFS win.

I refuse to cave to a game.

DLSS 4 2020 Pimax Crystal Light: about 34fps with medium settings. in 2D maybe 65 fps (with FG).

DLSS 4 2024 Pimax Crystal Light about 47 fps with medium settings, in 2D maybe 80 fps (with FG).

I had way more stutters before I went to DLSS 4.

(I'm in the Beta version of msfs 2024, I find it better in every way then the release version)

I enabled G-sync and I went up from 13 FPS to 38. However, I removed the Frame Gen Mod because the freaking sim got very unstable, with 5 FPS. It was so slow I couldn't even get out of it. Nice!
