New Nvidia Display drivers.

No, I don't see that happening on my end.

That's good to know in that there may be a work around for it in MSFS some day.  It's certainly not ideal or even good, but fortunately it does not impact flying and only occupies 0.002% of the display.

Check your Nvidia app, a new driver is here. Supposed to cure black screen issues, etc.

Though sometimes helpful its not always productive to blindly follow advice on this and other toobers with  zealous followers.

Many will imply they have the answers but time and time again the answers turn out to be very dependent on the setup of those trying to apply them.

or to put it simply 'your mileage may vary'  a lot.

If you are running DLSS4, makes a lot of sense to upgrade to this driver as it is early days for DLSS4 and the launch drivers have thus far not been good.

With this driver, I have made the switch to DLSS4. Not by using the NV App and not by using DLSS Swapper.

Personally, don’t think DLSS4 (Preset K) is any better that DLSS version 3.7, let alone subsequent versions, but hopefully DLSS4 will continue to improve over time.

Yup, my PC black screened while installing the driver, had to force reset my PC, Eventually was about to boot up and the driver was installed, definitely something odd going on, I've never had that happen before.

👏👏👏👏👏

Avsim is turning into Patch Central. To the mods is there anyway we could have a dedicated sub forum for all updates and patches for sims, planes, drivers, operating systems etc? I'm not being flippant I think it would be a great place for all simmers to check for updates while also shifting the main forums back towards more general sim talk.

Installed the new driver and cleaned caches yesterday after watching islandsimpilots video.  Can't see any difference to the old driver TBH (not that i was expecting to)

Good point! And it’s easy to find the list of changes nowadays, should be available on the nvidia website when downloading the driver. Of course this might not be the case when updating via the nvidia app.

It may be just a coincidence, or wishful thinking...but I did notice my MSFS 2024 being more fluid and definitely more smooth.

However, I did get a couple of CTD incidences on different flights.

We'll see.

It cured my black screen syndrome on my 3080, 572.65 hotfix.

Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

566.36 drivers working flawlessly for me. That being the case, no need to upgrade
