I watched the development of BATC with great anticipation and went all in because SI was VFR only and seemed too expensive. However, I soon discovered that SI was also IFR, and the price decreased slightly. The bottom line is that I left my investment in BATC behind and switched. 

But I don't get the BATC bashing going on. Try all the options and use the best option for you without negatively commenting on the others. While BATC is very good, I like SI better. Why not leave it at that?

What mission is that then?  My experience of BATC is poor, so I will say so.  

You can't win on Avsim.  You are either a F.A.N.B.O.Y for being positive about products, or you are part of a conspiracy against a product because you don't shower it with praise.  I've been accused of both in a week!

Most of you have so many opinions, statements and "facts" and make them here visible.....

Why o why is it not possible to let someones opinion stay aside your own one? Why is almost everyone everytime finding himself/herselfs opinion BETTER or SMARTER then someones others?

In this world it is so hard to "be just yourself and show yourself" because behind the "walls of internet" people FEEL so secure trying to shut up someones mouth....

I find that kind of behavior kind of sick.....

I would be so happy when people start letting someones opnion be as it is and make their owns visible here WITHOUT accusing, disrespectful replying...

I feel not sorry to express myself here. I feel sad that some of you out there are so "narcistic" and doing this as if it is the most normal thing of the world. 

I would like to THANK the OP for posting his/her statement about his feeling after 2 hours of usage.....regardless if this is enough, to less try, or whatever others think about that.

It is NOT a challenge to try to fit into the world of "sick behavior"......but it is a challenge and takes more skills to fit to yourself!

We had the same things when 24 launched with people creating threads to air their grievances and not using existing threads.  This must be BATC”s turn. 

Might be regular. People will do anything for free things.

I watched some videos of SI, and thought it was a total waste of money.

Very strange all these single posts seem to drop all of a sudden. Not a good look from either devs imo.

I'm not sure that the OP is criticising or bashing BATC. Stating that it's boring and hardly aware it's there is the way ATC should be, unobtrusive and in the back ground until needed.

For a work in progress BATC reasonably behaves as ATC should in my opinion, but with issues especially on approach. In time I'm sure they will resolve most of the issues.

Things such as emergencies and such like are supposedly planned for the future, time will tell.

This isn't a reply directly to you but to everyone who has a clear problem with certain addons. It's okay to vent your frustration. No problem. But after posting those views a few times we know it. No need to repeat it at every opportunity you get. That get's annoying and old quickly. No one minds if someone posts an honest opinion but most people will mind if it is being repeated over and over again. And certainly if those views are posted in new topics over and over again.

The idea of a forum with topics is that you can discuss things in one topic dedicated to a certain subject. On AVSIM however it seems that everyone wants to have their very own topic about any subject. I really don't know why. It would be a lot better if for instance BATC would be discussed in one of the already existing topics about it. And I also think the AVSIM mods should lock new BATC topics (positive or negative) immediately and redirect them to one existing topic. And that goes for any subject for that matter.

BTW All the above also goes for those people who keep on praising there preferred addon in any topic they can.

I can understand where that feeling of "boredom" comes from - after all it's just not Vatsim (and no AI can ever replace Vatsim), but actually for most people exactly this is what they love about BATC: Predictability and reliability, getting you from A to B anywhere in the world with realistic procedures and phraseology. All that said, dynamics, random stuff etc. will likely come eventually with BATC.

But I think what you really want is human interaction, so why don't just use Vatsim instead?

For me, at least, it's the stress level and needing to focus the entire flight. Also, coverage isn't 100%, and I don't like flying out of an airspace with just Center on. It's too chaotic getting out of a busy airspace without local control.

Also, I am on the headset all day and really don't want to put it on at night. Coupled with a lot of users with really poor microphones is headache inducing. I think a lot of people are just yelling into their webcams.

And, I often step aside during cruise.

That said, I am kinda coming around to the idea that for some things Vatsim may be the better option.
