BATC definitely is not subpar, but neither does it shine. No flight is ever new and there's nothing to get either joyful or angry about. All the flights seem very similar, I barely know it's there.

Well, you can always uninstall it and use the MSFS default ATC mate.

I really do not find anything bashing at the OP. 

I find the message clear, the user is bored and described a little bit why.

After I switched from BATC to SI I too find BATC lags at true to live sounding or feeling. 

SI AI is more true to life as I see it. 

Its just a opinion......everyone may see this different 

The typical day of an airline pilot or ATC controller tends to be repetitive and predictable, and that’s by design. Things are meant to flow in a familiar, consistent, and reproducible way.  

The ATC component of BATC certainly has room for improvement, but I don’t expect it to deliver excitement every time I use it. What makes it valuable to me is that it can coordinate and inject AI traffic while sounding reasonably realistic, and that’s why I use it on nearly every flight.

I do not bash the OP.
It is more then fishy that in the last days every second thread is about how bad BATC is.

But: I just express myself 😉 (and I do not defend BATC, I just wonder what happens here)

Atc giving same instructions with different words and using human like phrasing.....(The jn between words like buy, goodday ..or morning....etc....)

SI got that really good done....its a huge difference. 

Even emergencies in cabin has SI done....as an option to use or not to use. 

Also the reply when I talk to my crew.....its is replied in a complete different way....every single time....like humans talk....

BATC isn't that far in my opinion. 

It's good....but iny opinion SI is more life like....

SI costs a crazy amount of money. I wouldn't even consider using it, no matter how good it is.

But why do we need another BATC/SI thread? And why starting one with an unoriginal, boring and quite silly opinion that BATC is "boring". It really seems that some people are miffed that BATC got some award and not their own product/cash cow.

SI costs 200$ per year, it should of course be far ahead regarding LLM voices and phrases. Why instead should they take that much money for it?

That is the reason, why I express my doubts what is going on here. It is not only about bashing BATC, its about that the comparison is always with SI and not with FSHud.

That's quite an exaggeration, the way I look at it. It costs as much or even less as a subscription to Netflix for example. To me that is worth it. I do of course appreciate others feel differently.

I hope the BATC developers will implement VFR in the near future. I'll definitely give it a try then.

And it will never be that far because BATC doesn't use AI for its lines. BATC is 100% scripted. So it will never ever be similar to SI. Everything you hear in BATC has been typed out by the developer. Even the 'funny' remarkts which you hear every now and then (and which I absolutely hate because they totally kill the immersion). I don't mind this at all btw: I like ATC to tell me what it needs to tell me and nothing more. (BTW Afaik the LLM part is not scripted but that's not actual ATC: it's only informational. Anything related to actual ATC is scripted.)
