It expresses that the OP finds it not challenging or amusing.....he sees no motivation in for the product... It is a feeling and not a bashing statement Agree about feeling. All I'm saying is that in real life pilots are not constantly talking (bantering) with ATC, only when required. So maybe the background chatter should be more entertaining or ATC should be more like "Kennedy Steve" as he was known as. Maybe OP could explain how it could be less 'boring'. Stating that it's boring and hardly aware it's there is the way ATC should be, unobtrusive and in the back ground until needed. For a work in progress BATC reasonably behaves as ATC should in my opinion, but with issues especially on approach. In time I'm sure they will resolve most of the issues. Things such as emergencies and such like are supposedly planned for the future, time will tell. If anyone has flown in the real ATC environment, which I have, they would quickly see that the vast majority of ATC instructions are the same. Just listen to approach, or tower or departure on airports like KATL, and you will hear the same phrases repeated over and over again. What do people want in an ATC program, to be entertained?

March 24, 20251 yr I'm not gonna criticize BATC, but I'm a happy user of FSHUD. One might regard it as boring too, but for me it does its job. Currently, I prefer FSHUD over BATC, mainly because its better ai handling (imo). For me, the more important problem is how the sim handles ATC/AI. The sim ai engine is mediocre to say it best. The devs try to overcome these limitations. That earns my respect and that's why I have both, BATC and FSHUD. - Harry 9800x3D (Strix x870e-E) - 64GB RAM (DDR5 6000, CL 30) - RTX 5090, 34'' 1440p OLED HDR - Windows 11 Pro (1TB M.2) - MSFS 2024 (MS Store, 4TB M.2).

March 24, 20251 yr The only boring thing here is this topic. Funny: my wife thinks flight simming on its own is utterly boring already. Let alone one specific aspect of it.

I understand that completely. Its not asking for entertainment. It's hard to explain, but with SI I do feel much more realistic human spoken and speachspeed variating reactions compared to BATC. Further immersion factor is the ability to talk to ground, copilot and crew in a natural way with becoming human like responses as well. This package is providing a higher immersive feeling compared to BATC. For ATC it's the way they greet, speak, have regional accents AND SI uses real spoken voices from their users! within their AI engine (users optional allow SI to do and use that). That makes a huge difference. Also ATC instructing sometimes very quickly at huge airports, high speach speed....and at smaller airports more relaxed....also a immersive factor. That's what I think SI does really good. Still I think some of you are not open to ask what is meant....but accuse or project their own shortcoming into others post..... I Quote you here: What do people want in an ATC Programm? To be expect entertained? What people want is a good as possible true to life experience.....and I know there is much to come while AI and KI gets better and better. And what they want is to express that here and I assume without constantly getting slammed while opening themselves. One year from now you will see (hear) the difference in atc and see different pricing as well. Edited March 24, 20251 yr by mpo910 Regards, Marcus P.
