BATC bland and boring.

How about randomly placing something like this in BATC to excite you:

New York Center, Delta 384L:  There is something out on the wing. Some....THING!
Delta 384L, New York Center: Is William Shatner onboard your flight? Again?

Or

Oveur: United 247 you are cleared for takeoff.
Clarance: Roger
Roger: Huh?
Victor: Request Vector, Over.
Oveur: Huh?
Victor: We have clearance, Clarance
Clarance: Roger, Roger
Clarance: What's our vector Victor?

Or

Would it make BATC less boring then?

Love it.

"Speedbird 28 Heavy, turn left heading 300 and fly a loop the loop for separation, cleared ILS 27R".

If you don't like checklists and procedure, perhaps it's time to find another hobby? It's not like ATC mix things up a lot in real life. It's all a well orchestrated dance simply because it's all based on rules and standard procedures. Not like Heathrow Tower decides to spice things up today and clears you to random altitudes - it's the same vectors and altitude clearances 99% of the time.

How about the ATC program playing short skits from SNL while you are flying?

So will my Amazon Echo, and it doesn't cost $200 a year.

I offered you almost exactly what you paid $30 for with BATC for free with SI and you turned it down because you "don't want to talk to your computer". Why dont you drop the whole cost thing and better explain how you spend how much money on an Amazon Echo to...wait for it... talk to a computer?! Also we get it. You dont want to pay for the full product of BATC as that too would cost you money on every flight of which would be more than $200 a year based off of how often you stated you fly.

Are you seriously saying the OpenSky is as good at BATC?

What do you talk about??
The full product of BATC costs one(!) time 30$

You talk about premium voices which are optional and no way needed to enjoy BATC.
But you surely know that!

That ... 🤢🤮 ... my ATC toy is better then yours discussion is really hilarious.

And no mods around which will merge all these pointless threads together

I spent around $50 for my echo, about 4 years ago, and use it many times a day for various things. I have the full product for BATC, the premium voices , after I tried the free ones that came with, I considered worthess, default voices are fine. So your point is????

I would love to know the connection with that and an ATC add-on.

I watched some videos of SI, and thought it was a total waste of money.

Did you try the 24-hour FREE demo of SI?

My point is that you have on many times made the repeated statement that it cost money. So when I attempted to gift you a version that is free, its now that you dont want to speak to a computer. Fine. However, it seems rather odd that A) you have no problem on spending money to speak to a computer and B) perhaps its time you give up on repeatedly stating how it cost money when it seems thats not whats holding you back from using SI since you now state how you dont want to talk to your computer.

A broader point is just pointing out that you would never use it, you havent used it and so you are making it out to seem as if its a flawed addon due to cost when the fact of the matter seems more in line that you have no idea how good or bad it actually is on value from personal use yet you attempt to muddy the pool for others. That its no better than an Echo and cost money of which BATC does the same thing at a higher price depending on usage. A lot of moot points with bias.

Hi,

Both programs have their advantages and disadvantages. I prefer SayAI because the real world isn't scripted, it's that simple for me. For others the cost of another yearly subscription may not be doable, SayAI isn't the only yearly sub out there so one needs to keep that in mind. You'll also find individuals that don't want on the fly transmissions, they feel more comfortable working/playing within a scripted environment, nothing wrong with that as well. Whatever floats your boat.

As far as advertising, if you've had spent a lengthy time in the flight simulation environment you would have figured out a long time ago that advertising is a bunch of bull. I believe the best examples of this are the Artist renditions of MS that weren't even close to being correct!!!

As far as users pushing addons or denouncing them, I go by the individuals that I know and trust! Those that have proven themselves to be open and fair when evaluating various addons. I'm sure you as well as myself know who to take advice from and who to avoid. For those that are new to flight simulation, you'll have to do your homework as we all had to do in the beginning. You're biggest challenge will be to figure out who has an agenda, vested intrest, was a beta tester and so on!
