We have built a workaround for you overnight so you may retain use of the sim, but please be aware it comes with unintended side effects and as ever is considered highly experimental and relatively untested - but it’s there for you if you must use SU2B for whatever reason. We are packaging a neatly isolated repro project for Asobo to review via the Dev Support forums. For those interested in the details, I asked Dave to provide a summary: "MIPs fuc- oh, a _public_ summary? Ok. mipmaps are now required for effect textures (e.g. those used by lights). This is a problem with forced MIP-streaming and it means the game engine never loads the full resolution effect texture, leading to 1/16th resolution shadow/light maps. Nothing we have found as a workaround except adding mipmaps for now. It will look pretty awful but it'll function." HOW TO INSTALL: Open the Fenix Installer, click on the <:branch:1318874850160410695> icon next to the product title (e.g. A320), type "su2" (case sensitive) as the branch name and then press OK. It'll scan for new versions then present you with an update. Hit Install, and wait for it to finish. You only need to do this once regardless of whether you have both the A320 and A319 & A321 packs, it'll apply to all aircraft. To leave the branch, open up the <:branch:1318874850160410695> icon again and remove "su2", then hit OK, and you'll be prompted to install the latest standard version. If there's any further updates we'll post it here but otherwise that's us for now! March 26, 20251 yr I am still getting CTDs going around aircraft picker with the Fenix installed. Removing the Fenix seems to work. For now, I am just having the Fenix in add-on linker and will activate it when I want to fly it.
March 26, 20251 yr Have tried several times and freezing and crashing. This update is worst then the last. At least I was able to sort it out (the update was using a default community folder whereas I was using a custom folder) the last time. Tried deleting the steamed packages and that didn't work. Then tried the career mode and it crashed on the tarmac. I then turned off all my FSR and used default AA. Crashed again on worldmap. March 26, 20251 yr I guess I have to be on the beta version through xBox Insider in order to receive this update right? March 26, 20251 yr A word of warning for A2A Comanche users: for me, the beta freezes while loading the flight, soon after clicking the "Fly" button.

March 26, 20251 yr If you have FSLTL or AIG's models installed, don't use any traffic injectors or Live traffic or the sim will crash This also effects VATSIM Edited March 26, 20251 yr by Tuskin38
March 26, 20251 yr SU2 has a few nice things but the CTD's aren't my cup of tea. Back to the regular version for now. I can do without the charts on the PFD and the on-click-preflight.
March 26, 20251 yr I didn't finish my A350 flight, as something came up and I couldn't be home in time for the landing. But I got to cruise and my first step climb and it performed just as well as in SU1. Edited March 26, 20251 yr by Tuskin38
