I cannot even start a flight today. Not once. CTD.

Don't they do even a little basic testing before releasing betas ?

How do we supposed to test that mile long changelog if we cant even start a flight ?

Rename or delete your "StreamedPackages" folder, MSFS will rebuild a new one when restarted.

Sorted my problem of CTDs even when using default planes.

I think a lot of the issues stem from addons. An internal QA team will test a completely clean install to make sure nothing obvious breaks out of the box. Afterwards it's exactly what the public beta

I still remember they promised Maxar aerials. I was so naive...

They are using Maxar aerials.

Jorg confirmed it, and they're even credited in the opening splash screen listing all of the partners.

looks good so far, sitting with engines running on the rwy. will try a short hop now

Thanks for sharing and taking the effort to test! If that one works, I will hop on the beta probably

hm SU2 seems to have broken GSX detecting you releasing the parking brake in the A350, or maybe it broke something on the A350, idk

It detected the Asobo 737Max's parking brake fine.

No problems with SU2 other than a 3rd party app that shows data at the top left of the screen, [location lat/long, speed, wind etc], -  the font has shrunk to being there but unreadable [too small]. Will look for an update on that one.

Overall FS2024 appears to be running smoother & ground detail is sharper. Settings are custom Med/High & they did not change. Community folder was ok, although during the download I got into File Manager & renamed it before the Sim opened up.

SU2 works fine here after I took the Fenix out of the community folder. That alone - even when not used - seemingly caused CTDs when entering the aircraft selection menu.

That would explain why when I loaded up SU2 Beta, my last flown aircraft was a default and I had no CTD. The moment in the aircraft selection menu I switch to any aircraft in the community folder, even the A350, it crashes. Select a default, it flies fine. Reverted back to SU1 stable. When the current flight is finished, I'll remove the Fenix, opt into the SU2 beta and give it a try.  Even if it does work, I'll probably be back on SU1 because, Fenix.

No crashes with the A350 or Fenix here.

I'm doing a flight in the A350 right now.

I did clean my streamed assets, cache and scenery index folders, but I'm not sure why those would effect local installed aircraft.

Hmm.. Now I gotta try this. I'll clean out the folders.

I should note I haven't tried flying the Fenix yet, I just mean it's just not crashing the aircraft selection menu for me.

Holy ....

That changelog is massive lol !!

After fixing the sim back up after the great data wipe i decided to install my first ever addon for the sim (A2A Commanche and was having a very impressive experience with it (A2A flight model + msfs2024 enhancements cannot be beat) Now hopefully with these improvements the sim start to really show its potential.

Just having the Commanche available in 2024 MAY cause me to actually buy 2024.

Man, performance is amazing here using AMD FSR3 instead of the regular FG. Now to check if the Nvidia filters work with it without crashing.

Edit: Yeah, filters are working with AMD FS3, nice.

Using FSR 3 with no frame generation quality setting in the Inibuilds A350 at KLGA I was at roughly 30 fps. I then turned on frame generation FSR 3 and went in cockpit from 30 to 65 fps. Wow. My AMD fidelity sharpening set to 100. External close to double at around 95 fps. I would note however that the vram usage was at about 19.5. I have the 7900xtx 24 gb card. I was also getting the first message I've ever received 'resource useage exceeds memory capacity'.

Now when I did a shift b to get back outside of the cockpit it did a crash to desktop.

Went back in this time at the worldmap froze and had to bring up the task manager to close msfs. Same the second time. Then tried with default 737 MAX and froze with worldmap screen over the airport
