I think a lot of the issues stem from addons. An internal QA team will test a completely clean install to make sure nothing obvious breaks out of the box. Afterwards it's exactly what the public beta

Just a heads up all, additional release notes containing the stuff we (WT) did for this currently available SU2 release are now available at https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sim-update-2-beta-1-4-

I just got a CTD while changing liveries in the A321 IAE SL with the SU2 branch.

strange. changed  a livery too and all fine. did you do all that "other stuff" like deleting shader cache, resetting rolling cache, empyting community folder (except fenix), maybe deleting streamed content (I did not do that one TBH)?

If you have FSLTL or AIG's models installed, don't use any traffic injectors or Live traffic or the sim will crash

This also effects VATSIM

Im using fsltl models with batc injection no problem in su2. Batc had an update couple hours after su2 started.

MSI Z790i Edge | i7-14700K | EK 360AIO | 32GB DDR5 6400mhz | nVidia RTX5080 | Acer Predator 34"

Installed the Fenix and things seemed okay, but after a test flight I loaded the Caravan (default) and it crashed. So not very stable imo, depending on what you are doing.

For how long did you use it for?

And the issue isn't with BATC, it's the FSLTL models themselves, because they also crash if using them with the default live traffic.

Same with AIG. Both with the injector and the default live traffic.

im still using it, been using batc with fsltl models in su2 since batc was updated yesterday. five 90-mins to 2hr flights. before the batc update it would just error out and say no models,  live traffic disabled. clealry isnt a problem with fsltl models.

The same here. I bet you are using the TDS GTN. I found that removing the TDS GTN Gauge folder from the community folder and the Comanche works fine—just no TDS GTN 750.

The strange thing is that the Black Square Duke, which also uses the TDS GTN, works fine with the 'gauge' folder installed.

Thanks for that info, I was about to roll back to SU1 😉 In fact, the GTN was my first suspicion, but then I tested with the BS Duke and it worked fine, so I thought it might be something else.

EDIT: It works, thanks again for the tip! I'm fine with the GNS 430 for now, I'll upgrade the avionics once I've ferried the old bird that I got at an auction in KSDM back to KORS
😉

BTW, how are your loading times? The initial startup is very fast for me, but the wait after clicking "Fly" seems to have gotten longer...

Load time for me is just as you have observed. "Fly" does seem to take a little more time.

Well my FSLTL models were a fresh install just for testing this CTD, and they crash the sim with any injector that use them. Same with AIG.

What are your sliders at in BATC? How many aircraft were spawned in? Maybe it's a numbers game.

This bloke doesn’t half go over the top. More YouTube rubbish.

so the 777's WASM seems to be (mostly?) working without the need for the runway workaround

I just spawned at a gate, all the screens are working, all the buttons, switches and yokes are animating.

But it can't seem to read the navdata. I wonder if that's related to that community folder thing in the cfg file.

if I try putting the airport into the  POS INT, it says not in the database, and when I tried reinstalling the navdata via the EFB, the loading bar just stopped.

MSFS 2024 SU2 Beta not getting the error anymore myself with batc & fsltl with msfs 2024.  I can hear traffic on comms bring up the airport layout on batc and it shows blue planes but msfs 2024 will not show them.  Like they are ghost planes weird.

At TDS Sim Software we are looking into this bug. As the TDS GTNXi does not crash with other aircraft and based on our internal testing, we do not think that it is a TDS issue, but rather a WASM issue, either due to the higher number of WASM modules being loaded or due to all WASM modules needing to be compiled with the MSFS 2024 SDK. (The TDS GTNXi WASM module is compiled with the MSFS 2024 SDK) This could very well be a MSFS 2024 SU2 Beta bug.

We have contacted A2A about this and we will do our best to assist from our side, but we think that our assistance will be limited, we just got caught as the last WASM gauge.
