    2 more 'Atmospheric shadow'

  • Didn't take long for the first person to come in here posting something wrong...with a BETA.   Maybe I can rephrase your post, @efis007 "I downloaded it, understanding it was the first

Astounding!

The first shot looks just like RW !!!

I tried to find the type of Cb in the last shot, but all I found was rather stratified...

That one looks really good!

But, xp12.2 really pushes the CPU, more than the GPU in my case...

Even with fps limited to 30 and even if I enable vSync in the game options, Temperatures range between 50ºC and 76ºC and they keep varying, and the fans accelerating / decelerating as the flight continues, in the presence of densily populated skies, clouds rendering option at "High", not "Ultra"...

Before it stayed more or less stable around 62ºC

One feature nbo new with this update is the dynamic cockpit camera. It's effects are cool !

The dynamic camera was implemented in 12.1.4 🙂

That top one is insanity. That’s beyond next level.

Portuguese speach, but easy to understand 🙂 Simply stare at the images !!!

Hi,

Liking the new look to XP12, unfortunately they made networking even worse!!! One cannot go from airport to airport via menu, the external visuals just sit in standby mode. Want to jump to another airport, you have to restart the server computer.

first reviews are dropping, and they are damning

for anyone not eXPlaneing.

AutoATC Developer

xPlane was already my preferred not only flight dynamics wise but also on some aspects of the way it depicts the world: colours, lighting, clouds even with some artifacts that have been tamed with the latest updates.

But this beta definitely makes me LOVE xPlane's depiction of the World. Only maybe DCS world with its custom highly detailled and restricted scenery areas and new weather themes can be to the same and even higher level, but xPlane does it worldwide, and if we close our eyes to the precision of the scenery elements compared to reality then xPlane easily wins, even against MSFS 2024 which I also love and play...

That's why if I need to feel like flying I load XP... If I need to visit some place in the World I load MSFS...

With the latest work on 12.2, colors and lighting are now effectively real life. Now X-Plane just needs next gen scenery to be above the competition in all areas.

Uh oh, more grain than in the big box of sand. Shame. I hope LR will enhance the cloud rendering further. On a sidenote, it seems that grain is prominent only during dusk/dawn.

Although they might be already aware of that specific issue, you should report this bug to LR.
