April 8, 20251 yr new SU2 beta update 1.4.11.0 just released https://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/sim-update-2-beta-1-4-11-0-release-notes-april-8-2025/715692 General Bug Fixes Fixed jetways not connecting properly Fixed flickering airport lights FlightControlReplay (FCR) Updates: Added IniBuilds A350 enhancements for replay. Fixed a bug where FCR control panel window would disappear after attempting to use external pop out. Fixed a bug in FCR where toggling visibility for ghosts would cause them to fall back behind their offset position. Fixed a bug in FCR where ghost aircraft would remain invisible until their positional settings are changed. Aircraft Boeing 737 MAX 8 Fixed an issue where the engines would not start in cold conditions. EFB Fixed an issue where aircraft performance profiles could become stuck or stale when changing airplanes. Fixed an issue where the weather page would not show the weather data on the first load. Fixed an issue where the cruise speed was not always showing round numbers and increased input field size to prevent numbers being clipped. Fixed an issue where the map would re-center when clicking on coordinates that do not correspond to a facility. The weather page now shows the nearest available METAR and TAF data if the selected facility does not have any data. Pressing the Enter key in the Route String dialog will now save changes instead of adding a line break when the “Save” button is enabled. Added buttons to the enroute section that open the route string dialog, removed “add waypoint” button from the collapsed enroute section summary. Adjusted spacing and button sizes of the page layout. Removed the disabled “Profile view” button from the map toolbar to declutter the interface. The app will now prioritize the facilities from the flight plan to be displayed on the map. The charts provider toggle is now only visible for regions where FAA charts are available. Added a “Refresh” button to the weather page to manually update the weather data besides the 5-minute automatic update interval. Added runway entries to waypoint lists. Added a “Recenter on current route” button to the map toolbar. Extra fuel and payload now affect performance calculations, fixed issue when using aircraft profiles in trip fuel not always being re-calculated. Fixed the cruise altitude and speed inputs having no effect on performance calculations. Added missing translations to the Chart List page. Moved the VFR Pattern option to the top of the procedure list for better visibility. Optimized chart data fetching, reducing unnecessary data loads. Added warning to the cruise altitude selection if the selected cruise altitude cannot be reached Added automatic cruise altitude calculation based on the selected aircraft and the given route. Added a loading spinner and a “No charts available” message to the Chart List page. Moved flight plan management buttons to the header and grouped them by action. Added tooltips for every icon-button. Adjusted the styling of the Flight Details page so that it is more consistent with other pages. Facility Search Bar result items (facility icon, icao and facility name) are aligned horizontally. Closing Facility Info Pages will clear the Facility Search Bar. Added a bounds verification to georeferenced charts to fix the issue where the aircraft icon was displayed in the wrong position. Airport Fixed projected mesh not using the correct texture mips, causing block artifacts on the ground Virtual Reality Fixed a 100% crash on enabling Quad Views when using an HDR monitor on Windows DevMode Added a “First Flight” mission (FIFPLN) sample in the Career Tool Added an option to trigger floating point exceptions from WASM modules Scenery Editor Fixed regression due to terraformer falloff not correctly flattening the TIN Fixed big UV shift for aprons from MSFS2020 package SDK Samples Updated Cabri G2 sample Updated DA62 sample SimConnect Fixed a regression where aircraft would spawn continuously on the same parking Edited April 9, 20251 yr by turbomax AMD 7800X3D, Windows 11, Gigabyte X670 AORUS Elite AX Motherboard, 64GB DDR5 G.SKILL Trident Z5 NEO RGB (AMD Expo), RTX 4090, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 2 TB PCIe 4.0, Samsung 980 PRO M.2 NVMe SSD 1 TB PCIe 4.0, 4K resolution 50" TV @60Hz, VR: Pimax Crystal Light + HP Reverb G2 @ 90 Hz, Honeycomb Bravo Throttle Quadrant, be quiet 1000W PSU, Noctua NH-U12S chromax.black air cooler. 60-130 fps. no CPU overclocking. very nice.

April 9, 20251 yr Every time I read the huge list of fixes of the MSFS2024 updates I ask myself: did all that fail and they decided to put the product on the market?

While it's very frustrating, I'd rather an active development team constantly improving the software than some who "dump and run"..... I decided to uninstall both MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 last night and reinstall just MSFS2024 even though some of my hardware like PU Korea CDU's need PMDG aircraft to take advantage of them in '24. And I had all PMDG's aircraft in 2020. Both versions had been original installations from tech Alpha in the case of MSFS2020 and Beta for 2024. I have to say while I thought having so much of MSFS2024 streamed could be an issue, I had the new installation for 2024 Aviator version up and running plus back into the SU 2 Beta updates in under 20 minutes. I renamed the Community folders of both sims before uninstalling and then just moved it back in after the new 2024 install was run once and pc rebooted. I'll miss PMDG aircraft for a while but with work/family/less free-time, short scenic flights exploring the world actually seems quite reasonable.

Agreed - I have re-installed 2024 a few times during beta, absolutely no hassle at all (Steam version). I did re-install 2020 just for the iFly 737. It took 12 hours, but it wouldn't load so deleted it. April 9, 20251 yr Awesome. A series of SU2 updates is intense! They dont touch VRAM this time, but I do hope it is not the end of their effort to make it even better. Probably they do make some refinements but they just don't include it on the list. This update is more to avionics and "electronic". I wonder if the cold and dark start fix only applies to the 737 MAX or to similar bugs in the Bell 407 and the DHC 2 Edited April 9, 20251 yr by History DA B760M PRO4 | i5-13400F | RTX 3060 12 GB | G.Skills Ripjaws 32GB | MSI MAG A550BN | Ace Power 1 TB NVMe | Cooler Master Hyper 212
April 9, 20251 yr I'm having a pretty major issue with my frame gen in this update. I run 2 monitors (only 1 is for msfs), and the moment I tab out or move my mouse to the second monitor, I get a lot screen tearing, even after giving monitor 1 (the msfs 2024 one) focus again. Previously I've been able to return to the main monitor and it syncs again. I'm also seeing very small artifacts on some of the GUI buttons in the aircraft selection screen On the positive side, oh my gosh I think they FINALLY fixed airport beacons from not showing until you were basically over the airport!! This is a huge fix for night flying! April 9, 20251 yr Ok stutters and audio popping still prevalent when flying in southern California. Let's get this fixed Asobo. With my system specs and most setting set to high and some medium and shadows set to low, texture resolution to medium and TLOD 50 then to 150 this is not acceptable. April 9, 20251 yr Wake turbulence on AI aircraft is working better. Wasn't mentioned in the notes, but big aircraft were not knocking me around in an earlier patch

As one of the loudest advocates for 2024, I'm coming to the realization that 2024 was not ready for public release. And I can no longer fault anyone who wishes to continue with 2020. With the last update broke my ability to inject AIG traffic and some other addons, I found myself back flying in 2020 where all my addons work. I really missed my Ifly Max, and after a few refresher flights, I rekindled my love for that jet. Now on to the next update and see what that breaks.
