April 18, 20251 yr I loaded the new nvidia driver and followed IslandSimPilot (youtube) on making the frame rate max fix to 30 in the userconfig. and OH MY what a difference. The Fenix is outstanding and the results are incredible on my 3080. It is the way I thought it would be months ago. So smooth and no popping scenery in and out. I ran mine with Active sky new new beta and it worked fantastic. Did ILS's in to Kdsm, kcid, during Tstorm just now. Just fantastic. Running a 65" lcd. Most settings med to high with clouds ultra. Begging ASOBA to tell all coders to check their code back in NOW and make a back up plz. Come on PMDG, Ifly, TFDI. Get going.... https://youtu.be/651r5ZtJOuE Edited April 18, 20251 yr by cchiozza Chris Chiozza

April 18, 20251 yr He calls that a find? It has always been this way. Limit your frames to half your monitor's refresh rate and let FG take care of bringing it up to it back again. Where is the find?
April 18, 20251 yr The other trick to get smooth frames is to turn off FG, change frame rate limit from 100% to 50%, turn FG back on and you'll have smooth frames.
April 18, 20251 yr 11 minutes ago, Farlis said: Where is the find? The find is that with the newest SU2 Beta, the FPS limit can be set within the sim and as such, if set to a good number, lead to improved smoothness compared to any FPS limiter that limits outside the sim. It could be that FPS become more consistent like this, as I am not in the Beta, I cant confirm or deny... Agree completely. I'm in the SU2 beta and tried the above last night and this morning. Wonderful. I think the sim we should have had five months ago is finally here.

You are aware that, if your non-console is capable of, put the limit on 60FPS? Or whatever suits you (e.g. 71 for a e142FPS limit). No idea why you think it works only with precisely 30FPS... April 18, 20251 yr Jup... FrameLimiter within sim is a game chager. Ofcourse if using Frame genaration af any kind. But with this i really dont see any artefacts from FG. Never had such good looking and smooth sim expiriance before. Ryzen 9 9950X3D, 64Gb DDR5@6000Mhz cl30, PCIe 4 NVMe SSD, RTX4090 GPU

April 18, 20251 yr Author All I know is the 2024 has been a bust for me and I was simply sharing something that drastically improved it for me. The textures even look sharp and crisp so it is more than just capping frames, I have been doing that but not much luck here until now with the cfg edit.
