Well, we finally have a simulator

I set FPS max in Nvidia Settings on 60.
And FG on.
Also smooth.
No adjustment needed in de cfg file.

  • He calls that a find? It has always been this way. Limit your frames to half your monitor's refresh rate and let FG take care of bringing it up to it back again. Where is the find?

  • And he also has dynamic settings enabled, as we can clearly see in the video, which makes me think he doesn't have a clue what he is doing.

Just try the other way. Disable limit in nvidia settings, and limit in simulator.

If you are using Frame generation, just set FrameLimiter to half of your target fps. Result is impressive. It is not the same as limiting fps in "driver".

And what about VSYNC ?
I don't want tearing of the screen

i really hoped with this generation of flightsims that we'd moved on from fiddly tweaks and hacks

Not for me.

If i do the config, it turns into a slide show. If i leave at zero and use in game FG, Sim is pretty smooth. Also depends on how the sim loads at any givin time. Which for me changes often.

If your monitor is 60Hz and you limit frames to 30, FG on, you will have 60 frames with no tearing. If your monitor is faster than 60hz in this example, and your monitor does not have any VRR (gsync or FreeSync), VSync should be On (at max refresh rate). There are some theories that even if VRR is supported, vsync should be on also.

Wait so how does this affect using autofps then? Set the limit in autofps in in the sim menu to limit frames?

We have. I do not mess about with FG, Lossless Scaling, frame limiters, or VSync.

We have. It's just that folks love all of these voodoo fixes.
