I really don't get this statement at all. My first flight VFR in SU3 was amazing enough to give me goosebumps, a big smile and my stomach actually turned over, it looks that good. I had the same reaction to SU3 as I did at the release of 2020. If you are actually saying a one to one sim to real world, we must be decades away from that. Hardware has a long way to go. May 17, 20251 yr Mr Bits, the leap from SU1 to SU2 was massive for me. Are you saying it is similar from SU2 to SU3? 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2 - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

May 17, 20251 yr In SU3 beta. 4070ti Super. 1440p, 60hz, g-sync monitor. Frames limited in game to 30. FSR frame generation x2 = rock solid 60fps. Lots of settings at Ultra, using Autofps with Tlod at 500 above 2500' = 😍 FSW Cessna 414 streamed from library before SU3; FSW 414 in SU3 after downloading from my library onto my hard drive: At last!😎 Edited May 17, 20251 yr by DD_Arthur

I find it particularly helpful during the bright noonish hours and reduce it a bit. Not sure if "contrast" would be a better description, but it's something very similar to it. Peter - is this a setting inside MS24 options? Eric

I know they want to get SU3 out before the flightsim show at end of June. I might be spending my July 4th long weekend installing MS24. I wish they would do something about that horrid looking sepia mask at night. Eric

More along the lines of accurate interpretation of the imagery from the PG perspective, so no more vegetative concretre obelisks, and things like realistic road and rail stuff. Not looking for the sci-fi VR level stuff, just the sort of level of road realism that you can get in the other sim, for example. Plus, we have the ability to walk around in the scenery already, and it is very impressive out in the open countryside environment but is not something you'd want to do in a built up cityscape. Ground textures and such like need to be significantly improved there. None of which requires new generations of hardware, current top end stuff is well capable of the sort of thing I'm talking about. And I don't believe any of what I'm talking about here would be impossible to achieve within the current software environment either. My comment about SU10 was just implying that I don't see any of this stuff as being high priority for MS/Asobo. I personally don't care about the "flying" aspect of any flight sim, but I accept that that is what most people want, and I'm sure that's where most effort will get applied as updates are rolled out. I believe they will also continue to improve the visual and other "non-flying" aspects, but possibly not at the same rate. Which is fine. Like you, I've had experiences in 2024 that really take my breath away. I tend to use KSFO as a base for test explorations whenever I want to try out a new aircraft and heading off in either direction, towards the city or down to San Jose, at somewhere between 500 and 1000 feet and maybe 100 knots, is unfeasibly beautiful. Even with the clusters of green PG obelisks that are in amongst the proper trees. The light, the atmospherics, the vibe generally, is all just wonderful. It was (is) pretty impressive in 2020 but 2024 raises the bar significantly, for me at least. And my original post was just making the point that SU3 sounds like it's going to continue to do that, but even so I don't expect to see what I'd ultimately like to see in MSFS for a while yet. Ryzen 9 7900X, Corsair H150 AIO cooler, 64 Gb DDR5, Asus X670E Hero m/b, 3090ti, 13Tb NVMe, 8Tb SSD, 16Tb HD, 55" Philips 4k HDR monitor, EVGA 1600w ps, all in Corsair 7000D airflow case. Sims in use - 2020, 2024, XP-12 and -11, FSX/SE, P3Dv4.5 and v5.4. DCS and AFS2 installed but rarely used

I assume if you move it above zero the overall image becomes brighter, and becomes darker if you go below zero. I haven’t tried it yet but will today.
