does it happen when you only have navigraph and no other addons?

This thread is about SU3 not SU2

  • Software Development is oftent multi streamed. This SU3 has probably been in the wings for a few weeks now.  My take, -B

Yup. Community folder otherwise empty and all store purchased addons disabled.

I was on SU2 and selected download under Beta in the steam menu but there is not a Beat SU3 in the drop down. Do you have to Opt into this again?

Someone forgot to rename the BETA entry in Steam. But if you have the SU2 BETA turned on in the Steam settings you will get SU3.

I have the same issue with instant CTD when starting a flight. It isn't with the Navigraph database, but with one of the add-ins installed by Navigraph Hub. Not sure which one yet, as I haven't had time to dig into it.

I think the only issue that i am having with this beta at the moment is that it randomly drops my controls and once dropped you will not get them all back without exiting the sim even when you unplug them and plug them back into the sim for detection. Happened a bunch of times now very frustrating and i know its not the controllers themselves or the pc because the thrustmaster utility is still showing them as being connected and operational.

I selected SU2 beta but now it CTD on start so I am not sure what the next step is. Are you sure SU2 is actually SU3?

Well days later, and I haven't been able to even get off the ground with SU3.

As far as I can tell the issue seems to be with navigraph. If navigraph is in the community folder, instant CTD.

It's interesting for me because I'm usually the one who's not having problems while everyone else is screaming.

I'm in the same boat. I narrowed it down to the latest airac cycle - if I remove that with the hub all is well.  I posted at Navigraph but they say theirs is working.

it's the Airac cycle update for me - if I take everything out of CF except that - CTD

Confirmed. What's strange on my end is that I only get the CD if I start or land at a default airport. If I operate at an add-on airport, it seems all works fine.

Remove the AIRAC Cycle package, and all is well.

In my case the jump into SU3 was absolutely flawless and, I'd say, POSITIVE!

I only switched on my sim PC this last Saturday. Applied a win11 update, then fetched the latest Nvidia Geeforce WHQL driver.

When I started FS 2024 I didn't empty the Community folder from any of my addons, including the Fenix A320 and the Inibuilds A350.

The sim started, I had to leave the desktop for a couple of minutes and when I returned the final loading process was already going on, and soon revealed the update to SU3 1.5.,,, had taken place already.

I have always been in the Beta, and didn't leave it before starting FS 2024. I wasn't able to apply the final SU2 so my version before switching on again my sim PC after more thana week away from it was probably the latest SU2 beta before SU2 went final.

Have been flying the Fenix A320 in short / medium range flights, after the first route I noticed there was a discrepancy between the versions of the Nav Database in Simbrief and in the sim, so when the fight ended I updated the Nav databases of FS 2024 and the Fenix to their latest version and restarted the sim to make a new flight. No problem at all.

Haven't experienced a single quirk, CTD, nothing. All fine, good performance, my settings, including Controllers, sim options like that of limiting FPS to 30, the location of my Community folder and cache file, which btw I didn't haven't cleared for quite a while, the disabled FS 2024 version of Beechcraft 350i and enabled FS 2020 version with the mods suggested by some of you at this forum were there...

No problems at all so far running SU3 with previously installed addons or updating the Nav databases with the Navigraph App.

Performance has always been great in FS 2024, and it keeps going that way.

Have quit using BATC or FSHUD, FSLTL or AIG for now and use only sim ATC and traffic. I don't really mind the 3d models. I think it got better since the last time I had used it because I actually used the default ATC in all of my Fenix 320 and Inibuilds 350 flights as well as with the default CJ4 this weekend and it didn't behave as wildly as it used to the last time I had tried it.

So, in my case, it's a RATHER POSITIVE EXPERIENCE with SU3 🙂

Same here. Performance is extremely well and I do not get a single stutter. I'm quite happy with the direction this sim is going 👍
