I never had those texture issues with the 414 as you show in the first video, even when streaming. The textures always load immediately for me. You were probably having issues with your connection to their servers at the time or perhaps you have a slower internet than mine.

I've got bog standard BT 60mbps broadband but the 414 was an outlier. Now all fixed.👍

How do I know if I have SU3 or SU2?  I installed what I assume was SU2 about 2 or 3 days ago.  I am not getting any indications of another update when I start up MSFS 2024.  Is there a build number somewhere where I could check that?

SU3 is a beta. You will only have it if you are enrolled in the beta program which would be hard to do without knowing you've done it.

Press ALT + ENTER to put MSFS in windowed mode. The build number will be in the upper left corner.

ALT + ENTER a second time to return to full screen mode.

For some reason when I tried FSR FG x2 there was no change to frame rate when unlocked so it doesn't seem to work at all.  I don't use DLSS FG because the artifacts are not worth it.  Can you comment on artifacts using FSR?  And if you have a 2nd screen if you get the judder from changing focus to it and back to the main screen?

There are some artifacts for me with FSR. Not much but noticeable when on the ground. No issues with using a second screen though.

I don't have a second screen Noel so I can't comment on that. If I use just FG I'm getting 3 figure frame rates in cruise but my head tracking is slightly choppy. With fps locked at half refresh rate and FG on everything becomes incredibly smooth.

The only artifacts I've ever noticed using FG are during take off and landing and involve clipping of side windows or window frames. If you look at the small cockpit window and it's latch on the left during the take off run you'll get a good indication of what I mean...

I think a lot of it is down to personal tolerance of these artifacts. I only notice these during a playback of the actual video. During the actual take off and landing phases I'm obviously concentrating straight ahead. I simply don't notice them.

I'm not aware of any other FG artifacts during flight.

Am I the only one having lots of ctd with SU3? It runs and feels great, until it randomly decides to crash and back to desktop. some known addons not compatible? AddonLinker gonna help me a lot, but better ask first.

Continuing my East/West flight over the USA with SU3.  I was weaving my way around showers when I heard a massive crack of thunder!  I thought the engine had failed, but realised it was thunder.

SU3 continues stable for me and it is the best experiences in 2024 to date.

OverKillSimulations also finds SU3 beta to be superior.

Different subject but I just turned off Rivertuner and set 30fps limit in 2024 with DLSS/DLAA.  Vsync turned off everywhere.  As well as very smooth performance the panning is also smooth, no judders at all with TrackIR.

When you say the number of frames is limited to 30 in the game? Are you talking about the NVCP application? Otherwise, where can you block the FPS at 30 in the game?
