Otherwise, where can you block the FPS at 30 in the game? It is one of the settings on the main settings page in SU3. In SU2 you would need to change a value in UserCfg.opt. Ok thanks, so how does that help? It's true that I limit the refresh rate by half via NVCP. I've seen a lot of people talking about this new option, but is there anything I can do after blocking the fps at 30? and is there a difference between blocking at 30 in the game and me putting half the refresh rate (I have a 60hz screen so it blocks it at 30) Edited May 17, 20251 yr by Axis3600

No need to set in NVCP. As well as very smooth performance the panning is also smooth, no judders at all with TrackIR. You must be having judders with TrackIR prior to this? Already have ultra smooth everywhere and nary a stutter. I mean I just flew out of KSEA in the Fenix 320 and saw one brief stutter during taxi, and not another one after that and maintained 50FPS for the flight to KSLC. I'd not want to give up being able to change the lock on the fly that is some I value because I don't use FG and sometimes need to drop down to 45FPS in the most demanding settings, in order to have headroom. Try a CapFrameX and see how that goes just for fun. So really, I don't see this as offering anything useful here. Vsync hasn't been on here for years. May 17, 20251 yr For a change I've actually had the opposite experience in this beta - performance was quite a bit worse than SU2 release. I've gone back to the release version and it's extremely smooth! I'll let the beta bake a couple builds before joining back in. 9800X3d, 4090, 64 GB DDR5 6000 RAM, 4 TB NVME (2x2), 4K Ultra + Framegen
May 17, 20251 yr Got it. Not much of a complainer but will report back results. Great to be a part of the next gen sim. dd

May 18, 20251 yr My God. I can't believe what I read. And Still all these reports of CTD's after the release of SU2. http://youtube.com/c/Greazer

May 18, 20251 yr I just had the most enjoyable flight since purchasing 2024. SU3 beta 1 gets my approval. ATC is much smarter, giving descent instructions at the appropriate times now. 5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX 9070XT.
