Only MP is a big turn off. Will never ever again buy MP. Devs that only sell on MP is not in my interest anymore.

The Longitude does many of the things that the CL650 does, it just doesn't have study screens to show how the sausage is made. For example, the hydraulics system uses a physics based flow system

Simbol, the owner of FSReborn I think, who has made several planes for MSFS already, also only sells on the marketplace.  And Simbol mentioned one reason he only sells on the MSFS marketplace is because of the protection from piracy.  His products have been pirated in the past, resulting in a loss of money for him.  And he needs to pay for his bills, feed his family, etc.

The MSFS marketplace has encryption techniques to prevent products from being pirated. Now it may not be a perfect encryption system, and some marketplace products may still be pirated, but Simbol thought it is good enough to protect his MSFS products from widespread piracy.  And his livelihood is at stake here, as it's his main income, and he  has to pay for bills and put food on the table for his family.

So sometimes, it's just the best option for 3rd party developers like Simbol, to sell on the MSFS marketplace.

For P3D v4?

MSFS 2024. Primary Planes: Black Square TBM850, Duke, Baron, Caravan; A2A Comanche; FSReborn Phenom; Fexix A321; PMDG 737-7, 777: Utilities: Active Sky (Passive Mode); BATC, FSLTL.

Way more interested in the ERJ145 which uses the same avionics, but as this is a necessary step on the way there, great!

It's reasonably priced, I'll probably pick it up.

This may be controversial, but the price worries me. The plane looks great but the price seems too cheap

It's cheap because they're confining themselves fully to the SDK and using default WT avionics as a base. This allows for fast (well, not with these guys, they took forever), cheap, easily accessible planes. I wish FFX was a PMDG or Fenix tier dev, but they aren't. Not sure if it's a skill issue or they're just not interested in that level of fidelity, but there you go.

Yea, this is my impression too, and I will likely pass on this. What I would not pay however for an actually high fidelity medium to long range business jet. The Longitude has much going for it but I really want one with wear, maintenance, and system failures modeled.

What's wrong with using Working Title avionics as a base? Some of the Working Title avionics is the best you can get for a flight simulator.

Can somebody answer why this is a drawback?

No drawback, people just like to complain no matter what was used.

Agreed. I think we'll be waiting quite a while for a developer to bring this kind of biz jet to the market. Might as well keep flying the default CJ4, the default Citation Longitude, and the default Cirrus Vision Jet.
